Actress Georgina Haig has landed the part, sources say. She’s probably best known to TV viewers from her arc on Fox’s
(playing Henrietta “Etta” Bishop, the daughter of Peter Bishop and Olivia Dunham). She can also currently be seen on the CBS summer drama
. (Check out this photo of Haig on IMDB for a very Elsa-ish look from the actress.)
The character is loosely based on “The Snow Queen,” the Danish fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen. Earlier this week, newcomer Elizabeth Lail was cast in the show as Elsa’s younger sister Anna, and
alum Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff, the rugged mountain man who falls for Anna. The
revealed that the queen with the frosty touch, voiced by Broadway actress Idina Menzel in the film, will be added to the show’s fairy tale ensemble during the show’s May finale (clip below).
