On her passion for Music
“My passion for musik is one of my greatest loves. I don’t think I would be able to live without musik in my life. I listen to absolutely everything and sing all the time. I cinta to write because it’s such a release. It’s very therapeutic when I sing and it makes me feel like I’m escaping for a while. I started bernyanyi when I was three. My favorit things to perform for my family was Paula Abdul and Michael Jackson’s leave me alone. I had a little kid piano that my dad would play notes on while I made up lyrics and sang along. I cinta how different songs can make anda feel different things and take anda to different memories in your life. I still currently record things in the studio and write in my free time. I would cinta to release my own album someday and work with some of the artists that I admire most. I can die happy when that happens. I just cinta performing all together, and musik is just one of the outlets that I use.”
On her favorit Role
“I would have to say that my favorit role was Family Matters. Even though I was really young, I loved my character. I played little Ritchie’s girlfriend in a couple of episodes and had a blast doing it. My mom was my manager and akting coach at the time and helped me do some really cute things in my scenes. My character was only supposed to do one episode but they brought me back for a lot more. I even developed my first little crush on the kid who played Richie. We became childhood friends while filming the tampil and had a great time on set. Out of all of the things I’ve done Family Matters seems to be the one that people remember most which I think is hilarious. The funniest part about that role is that I was actually crying after the audition because I thought I had blown it. But I guess it just goes to tampil that anda never really know whats coming for you!”
On why she likes to act
“Basically, the thing that appeals to me most is that I feel like it’s something that I’m really good at and really talented in. When you’re just good at something, it feels good to be good at it, and do it for a living. Also, the fact that I have so much fun when I’m actually working that it doesn’t even feel like work. It’s truly like heaven on Earth.”
On being comfortable in your own skin
“I can relate to girls with self esteem issues because growing up in this industry there is the side of anda that is obsessed with perfection. anda want to please everyone because if anda don’t, anda won’t get the job. There is always someone prettier, smarter, atau a better actor that you. anda start to nit-pick everything. That perfectionism kicks in and it can take over your life if anda let it. anda have to get comfortable with yourself. Then, if anda get the job, it is an added bonus.”
