It's basically a ponyfied version of the novella A "Christmas Carol" oleh Charles Dickens. I found that episode rather unoriginal, the writers of MLP can most certainly do better than that. But I liked the songs though and Luna was awesome! not to mention that insanely adorable moment when Twilight was bernyanyi on Pinkie's voice. :D
