So having developed my Merlin obsession very recently, I went online to see what sorts of fan sites, etc existed around this great tampil and the wonderful actors who play the characters we've all grown to know, love, loathe (perhaps), and lust after. Yes, I am referring to the faithful Merlin/Arthur/Gwaine (ALL the Knights really) fan who regularly komentar on the wonderful pictures put up on this site oleh Naima and others (Thank you!)
I found a whole bunch of kindered spirits on fanpop who cinta the tampil - and in a non dodgy way, one almost feels like they're with a different type of family. A family who have the same interest (Hello?! Merlin fans!), write funny postings, and don't argue over who gets the last garlic roti at the makan malam meja :)
My friends, realising my obsession with Merlin is not of the scary nature, recently suggested that I combat the boredom/monotony of boring meetings at work, atau other such events that happen in life with Merlin interjections.
Here is an example of what happened last week. Scene: An extremely loooong and melodramatic meeting where two particular people kept going on and on about some document that was accidentally diserahkan to the wrong person in another department but was now resolved.
Remedy: Recall the scene from Sweet Dreams (S2) where Merlin mistakenly thought Arthur was talking about declaring his cinta for Gwen so gave her the note instead - oops!
Remedy(what I said): Yeah, totally. It's like that time when Merlin misunderstood Arthur and gave the cinta note to Gwen instead of Vivian...Silence..
Nauseating workmate 1: Err..Okay. Right. selanjutnya item of discussion?
Conclusion: Sorted!
Note: This is not to be used for ALL situations - well maybe it could be, but you'd need to adjust them to suit. Feel free to do your own, and if that is too tedious then just do the "He's pulling an Uther" re: Being a bully whose makes everyone else pay for his issues (literally).
Bottom line is: Merlin CAN be applied to everyday situations, and it does encourage one to stay sane even in the worst situations :) So in closing: For the cinta of Camelot! Bring on Merlin Season 4!
