They've even moved into separate bedrooms for the first time in their lives. A custody war could separate them permanently - With Mary Kate going to her dad and ashley staying with mom Jarnie. "Their father and mother are talking about sharing them - one to dad, one to mom," says the friend. "That's horrible for the children. Mary Kate was always a daddy's girl and ashley, the shyer one, was a mama's girl. But the kids are a mess now. The bond between them that was so strong is being threatened." The membagi, split between the previously inseparable twins came to head when their father remarried - soon after the membagi, split became final between him and his ex-wife Jarnie.
