When a caller to Franye's radio show confesses to having killed a young woman (whose skeleton two teens have found on a beach), Franye feels compelled to help solve the case. But in the process, he's forced to confront his own demons.

As details of her kinky affair with Capano begin to surface, Detective Frank Gugliatta (Paul Michael Glaser) suspects the lurid liaison has something to do with her disappearance. Olympia Dukakis and Steven Eckholdt also star.
