Sawyer has changed very much!
In season 1,2,3 he was such an uss!
Now he's so sweet and cute!I love him!<3

Jack changed a lot too.

I agree that Sawyer changed very much! Oh, and I hate it...=( Of course I love him now, but I love him more like he was in the first 4 seasons. The changes in his character are just unbeliveable...
I think that Jack and Jin's characters also have absolutely changed!

Claire has changed too. I think she want from sweet to stricked.and Sawyer too.

First he was very bad, and in season 5 he was very quiet.

We've seen a compltely different side to him than we originally saw in the beginning, especially in S5.

It would be absolutley ridicoulus if he hadn't have grown as a character, he was so immature and just mean at the beggining of the series. Still loved him as much as I do now though :----D

Also Jin and Jack.

I think the one who has changed the most is charlie,from a grug addict he become a very nice guy.

I'm torn between Jack and Kate. Both had matured and developed a great deal since the beginning of the series. And for the better.

James's character changed the most, Sun's second, she went from being absolutely obedient to insisting she be treated with respect, and what's more, she used to be afraid of everything but once she took over her father's company she became a force herself to be reckoned with. Jin's character changed the third most, he went from believing he owned Sun to realizing he was responsible to her not for her, that is to say she is owed respect as he is, she is not his pet to be responsible for, she is his partner to be responsible to. Jack's character never really changed, he always needed to be in charge of things, he kept claiming he didn't want to and yet he was always fiercly protective of his role as leader. Throughout the entire series he would constantly challenge anyone who didn't do things the way he wanted to do them, not because they were defying him, if they so much as just had a different opinion it would get his dander up, that's someone who needs to be in charge, that never really changed. Kate never changed except maybe how she felt about children, but she was never a bad person, it was never her who changed, it was the way others saw her that changed. They all found out she had been a fugitive and had killed someone but what she did she did in defense of herself and another, sooner or later her step father would have killed Kate's mother and probably her. But at first they all treated Kate like she was a mass murderer, instead of the hero who rescued her mother from herself and was turned in by said mother for her trouble. It was about how the others began to realize she was never a bad person they had just assumed she was from the limited facts they had. Hurley got crazier and crazier. Charlie started out as dumber than a box of rocks and never gained in any intelligence. Volunteering to die on the underwater station was the only selfless thing he did in the whole show, everything else he did he didn't do to be selfless, he did it to impress Clair so she would feel she owed him and would want to depend on him and so she would think how wonderful he was so she would choose to be with him, that's not selfless, that's trying to purchase someone's affection. Those things should have been done simply because it was the right thing to do. Clair remained the same throughout, and sweet and strict are not mutually exclusive or opposite character traits. John lock changed only once, when he landed on the island he went from being out of place to being at home. He was a man who had been born in the wrong place and time, he was far more at home as a wilderness man than as a cubicle-button up shirt-9-5 modern day city man. I know the feeling. He changed only once to hating life because it was the wrong life for him, to becoming who he was meant to be once he crashed and he remained that throughout the show. The only difference is he was alot more intelligent in the first season. Ben never changed, manipulative from beginning to last. He claimed he never killed the innocent and yet he had quite the body count at his feet, not the least of which were the people on the second plane flying to Guam, Jack said "What about the other people?" Ben said "Who cares?" Uh hello!!! innocent people dying! And there you have it.
