Need advice...

Hi :) I need some advice...
anda see, my step-dad is against being gay (he's kinda old so he was brought up with gay = bad policy), and it's annoying me.
Now, I'm straight (I think), but I happen to support gay rights and I tend to watch a read stuff about gay people (like, my favourite couple in the world is a fictional gay couple)
Now, I know I can't convince him to cinta it, but I want to try to get him to be lebih open-minded about it, atau at least get him to stop making faces when I watch the T.V tampil glee atau the musical RENT.
Please help me?

If you're comfortable enough, I'd suggest sitting down with your step dad and explaining to him how it bothers anda when he has that attitude towards something anda enjoy. Tell him you're not trying to change his views, but that he doesn't have to watch the same shows that anda do, and anda would appreciate it if he didn't make any "faces" (if anda will) when anda do, atau tell him anda do.

Even though you're family, and care about each other, anda ARE two different people and are allowed to have differing viewpoints. Tell him that anda respect his, and all that anda ask is that he respect yours.

Thanks :) And yeah, I know I can't change his opinion :P It would've been a lost cause from the start
