How MTV (+Jay Z) Made a Ton of Money at Kanye West's Expense

At the risk of making myself even less popular, or of being a Johnny Come Lately, or maybe repeating a point someone else has already made, here goes nuthin'!
MTV set up Kanye West! Every year, MTV's VMA's are promoted as being the place to find your favorite stars acting badly. Remember, Britney Spears, before she lost the weight and before she was somehow resembling someone in their right mind? Did MTV feel any compunction about having her open their show, even though it would make her a laughingstock? Of course not, Britney, whose singing and dancing talent had over the years made MTV a ton of money, was about to make a total fool of herself - and once again make a ton of money for MTV! Who cares what effect it has on her? Those running the show saw a weakness and exploited it for their own game.

Kanye West is a highly talented rapper, songwriter and producer. He's also a loose cannon, somehow lacking in some important social skills, especially if you're going to be rich and famous. MTV, like a predatory lion, can spot a straggler in the pack a mile away. So year after year, to fill their controversy quota, they place him in prominent but, for Kanye, provocative positions, knowing that when he blows, MTV will have it first and make their requisite advertising megabucks. Why, because even more people will tune in next year!

So the delicious set up played like this: Kanye is placed in an award presentation where a phenomenal viral video by Beyonce is beat out for top honors by super white, modestly talented, teenage billionaire businesswoman Taylor Swift. Good chance that's going to push Kanye's buttons.
Big surprise - it does! Kanye makes a fool of himself and now the fun begins. Jay Z. Another billionaire entrepeneir and intertwined in his wife Beyonce's business empire, immediately makes a backstage deal that Beyonce will surrender her award (that she knew in advance she would win) thank you's to poor billionaire Taylor Swift, rendering Beyonce a hero and boosting Taylor from teen idol to superstar. When Eminem came backstage to offer poor, rich Taylor the same opportunity, he was turned because Jay-Z, who just happens to be a rival rapper to Kanye(but not as talented or original)
with an album coming out the same week as the Beatles reissues, beat him to it. Jay-Z may not be as good a rapper as Kanye, but he sure as heck's a better business
man, with the arm candy to prove it. So at the expense of Kanye and his bad manners, MTV, Beyonce, Billionaire Taylor Swift and Gazillionaire Jay HOVA -Z all advance.

So let's forgive Kanye for not having the sense to be raised by an intact family so he could learn some manners. Taylor and Feyonce didn't make that mistake.Even The President of the United States lets himself be manipulated by MTV to call Kanye a "jackass" 'off the record". Is this the same Kanye who worked his "jackass" off for your election, O President How Soon We Forget? Nice... Being called a jackass by the coolest President in history is something extra for Kanye to tell his grandkids when teaching them about the value of loyalty.

Let's pray for them all, but Kanye, don't get suckered by the Man ever again!
