MJisLove4life Well In Order To Win A Life Time Achievement Award You Have To Do Something That People Will Remeber. Justin Bieber Hasnt Done One Thing That I Personaly Will Remember In 10 Years. He Doesnt Diserve To Even Be Voted For This Award. He Is A Really Bad Influence On Our KIds. He has consumed beer which is called underaged drinking. He is disrespectful towardsd his crew members. And i can go on and on.And Lets Not Forget This Hashtag #Cutting For Bieber Which Was Really Messed Up. It Offended Me I Have Friends That Used To Cut Themselfs And Some Of Them Are Still Cutting Today. When One Of My Friends Saw That She Called Me And She Was In Tears And I Spet 3 Hours Talking To Her So She Wouldnt Harm Herself. Now take a look at James Brown,Ray Charels, and Michael Jackson(For you yonger generation from the ages of 10-13 look them up on youtube instead of looking up videos of Justin Bieber) Those are people that have done alot and who diserves a Lifetime Achievement Award. Michael Jackson was the first black person on MTV when his music video Billie Jean came on. And all three of these people revolutionized musice for the newer generations. Instead of listing to crappy JB songs look up The Beatles,Prince,Janet Jackson and the list of GREAT Artist can go on forever. I think i made my point. And ok well you can tell the other Beliebers to stop hating on Michael Jackson because I have seen it on here,Facebook,Twitter,Instagram and Facebook not counting the many other websites that are out there. I'm not a fan of him at all (not everyone has to be) but his music was good. Actually i don't like PSY at all. Synthwave Hey Victoria7011 Firstly, I'd like to personally thank you for having a pleasant, non-judgement conversation / debate who didn't blindly attack a non-fan. I also thank you for the friend invite you sent me, I apologize I haven't fanned you back yet, but things have been extremely busy and I haven't had the chance to reply to it. Now on to the fun bit. Firstly, while I understand that you aren't a fan of PSY (nor am I...except for the dance- that's quite fun), I used him only to illustrate a trend that I see pop music having. All you really need is a really catchy beat (now its a techno/dance beat), involves a lot of electo elements (deep base, synths) and a really catchy hook. As long as you have those elements, the song would be rocking in parties everywhere. Every high energy pop song seems to follow this formula are merely copycats of each other...or at least sound like it. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion- and no one has the right to infringe or make fun of you for having an opinion for what you believe. However, when you have the title "King of Pop", its a title that is not taken lightly. If JB were in contention for being the "King of Pop", he certainly does not have the qualifications to deserve that title. To be the king of pop means to expand the realm of pop music where it has never gone before. It means to produce music that isn't just good songs on a record, but it goes beyond and pushes the limits as to what music can be. It also means its the way it pushed the music industry. MJ, in the post I made before, has accomplished all those things and it shows in the awards and is cemented as a legend . Justin Bieber, as of now, has not done any of those things. Perhaps he can be noted as a success from being discovered on Youtube and made into a pop-icon, but that does not warrant itself to be 'King of Pop'. You can have the opinion that you like JB over MJ, but the fact remains that unless JB has made nearly as big of contributions to the music industry and to pop-culture, you cannot really say that he's the King of Pop..or even a member of the royal court for that matter. Stating that Justin is young further adds to my argument. Its all up to speculation whether or not he'll rise in stardom and make any major contribution to the music industry aside from being a teen heart throb (again, not an earth-shattering achievement, as I've stated earlier). Perhaps he has reached his peak and has plateaued- who knows? Until at some point in his career for as long as it is he is able to make a leading role in shaping the music industry and/or a cultural icon (again, teen heart throb does not meet this). Thus, the title of "King of Pop" is not one that is subject to opinion. For his age, JB is impressive, while not my cup of tea music wise....but he is not at the level that MJ is at. victoria7011 Hello Synthwave. No problem. I dont want to attack no-one as i know if i was attacked online for having an opinion, it would annoy me. Ahh that's okay. We all have more important things to do than being on fanpop and being on the internet so I understand :) Even i cant stand the dance of Gangnam style,Haha. I understand what you mean. There are songs out there which are the same but some artists bring out different music to this. I mean, they maybe all the same but if people like that music, thats fair enough. We all have different opinions on which is good music and what is not there cup of tea. I will admit that the music nowadays have the same beat but it doesn't mean the songs are crap. JB is young so i wouldn't give him the King Of Pop status at the moment. Maybe when older i will, who knows, he might mature more deeply in his music and bring something new to the industry. He still has has loads and loads of years to get where Michael went and beyond. For me, i will let anyone have an opinion and if people say JB is King Of Pop fair enough, there opinion, and if people say MJ is King Of Pop, fair enough there opinion. All im saying is that i dont think MJ will stay that way but then again, my opinion. Exactly. He could flop in years to come but he could become great and get to Michael's status. Who knows? Thing is, MJ had 50 years to get where he is today. JB is still 19 so hes still got years to, as i said before, to get to MJ's status.
