Okay now I know some of anda also ship Bamon so anda could always not read this atau read and discuss what anda do/don't agree with. This is just my opinion.
All I've been seeing lately is people hating on Jeremy for his relationship with Bonnie and it's pissing me off. And these are the same people who criticize Delena fan for not liking Stefan atau Bonnie. Quiet hypocritical. To me Bamon is one of the least sensible options for a pairing on this show. I've thought this ever since season 1, but now lebih than ever is it clear to me why Bonnie & Damon could not and should not be together. Bonnie & Jeremy on the other hand make perfect sense...and I'm going to explain why.
Here is a couple of the things that I see berkata about Beremy oleh those who believe Bamon makes lebih sense:
Jeremy is not mature enough/not man enough for Bonnie
Really? Last time I checked he was the one who went against Katherine just to protect Bonnie. What has Damon done for Bonnie that even compares to that? Nothing. And it's not just him. The bottom line is, nobody watches out for Bonnie the way Jeremy does. There is a reason why Bonnie was telling him about all his phases. In season 1 I would never think Jeremy would be a good match for Bonnie, and obviously neither did Bonnie until she saw the growth in him (notice I berkata growth, and not a change of character.)
It's not like he's a teenage boy and she's a woman. Yes she's older than him but they're both still very young. A man who is mature enough for Bonnie will want to keep her aman, brankas at all costs and will always be there for her.
Bonnie needs someone who can challenge her
I find this to be odd coming from Bonnie fans, as if anda don't know the first thing about her. It was always very obvious but she even spelled it out this season: I don't particularly enjoy any of this in case anda haven't noticed.
Bonnie doesn't want to be challenged...she wants to use her powers for doing good...and guess who's been encouraging her to do lebih of just that...JEREMY. Damon is a pain in the butt who will cause her stress and anger and every other reason why she was/is not very happy about being a witch. So Bonnie doesn't need someone to challenge her, she needs someone who encourages her to grow.
I've also seen people say that the only reason why Bonnie likes him is because he's a aman, brankas choice. And that's bad because.....???? Like I said, Bonnie IS looking for safety and comfort. That's not just something anda want from a temporary relationship, anda ALWAYS want to feel safe(both physically and emotionally) when you're in a relationship. Trust and safety is a big issue when living in a supernatural world, and she's lucky she's found someone who she already has that connection with.
I would also like to point out that Bonnie's tampilan and beliefs are what differentiate her from someone like Elena. Those beliefs would HAVE to change for her to be with someone like Damon.
And just think...what would poor grams say? Can't imagine Bonnie (who considered grams to be her closest family and mentor) to just go against everything the woman taught her. And if Bonnie is going to remain Bonnie, she shouldn't. Isn't the fact that she sticks to her guns one of the reasons why her fan admire her so much? anda think that would stay if she was in a relationship with Damon? Hell no. And if she did stick to her guns then it wouldn't work because that's not the type of relationship that Damon would want.
I've seen other reasons as to why Bonnie&Jeremy shouldn't be together, but frankly they were all either too stupid atau too shallow for me to want to debat with.

I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but let's face it, neither do you. Bonnie only has eyes for Jeremy and Damon is DEEPLY in cinta with Elena and not even unrequited cinta is changing that. However I'm not going to go into the Damon side of things in this because it's not about him. It's about Bonnie and who is best for her.
