The hari inuyasha was born, Inu no Taisho (his father) was killed oleh this guy named Takemaru who was in cinta with Inuyasha's mom (Izayoi) and didn't want her to give birth to a half demon, so he killed Izayoi and Inuyasha. Inu no Taisho ressurected them with tenseiga and told them to run away, then he fought with Takemaru and both of them died.

Inu No Taisho had previously fought an dragon trying to invade his lands and was seriously wounded, atau Takemaru wouldn't have won, although I don't think he actually DID win, they both died so I'd say it's lebih of a draw.
