Has anyone else noticed this?

In one of the early epesodes of Inuyasha, when Kagome goes back to her own world, an evil mask is awakend oleh Kagomes shards. They berkata that the mask was alive because a long time ago, someone carved the mask out of a pohon that had a Shikon shard in it.
However, that would be impossibe, because the Jewel had only membagi, split a few days ago. Did the writers forget this atau something? (Remember, this was NOT in the Manga.)

It was drawn to the presence of the jewel shards she had in her possession.

Thats the animated version of scrolls 5-9 'Mask of Death', 'The Broken Body', 'Face Off', 'I'll Help anda Out' and 'Half a Demon is Worse than One' of Volume 3 in the manga. Actually the Noh mask is in the manga. But they did not forgot anything. Is just that time travel mechanics is confusing. One of the shards existed in the past and traveled normally trough time with the Noh mask. when the shards were brought trough the well it reacted to them. And if anda want confusing time travel mechanics go to the storyline of LOK game series.
