Here's the basic idea: the city of Sarnath sits on the pantai of an inland lake, the "still lake," HPL calls it, founded oleh settlers who had moved westward from a number of other olden realms with names like Kadatheron, Ilarnek, Thraa.

Also on the lake, however, is the ancient city called Ib, "peopled oleh beings not pleasing to behold," HPL also tells us. The men of Sarnath grow to despise these beings, and one day,...

This morning I had the opportunity to view some advance footage from the upcoming Australian survival thriller Sanctum, produced oleh James Cameron and due out in theaters selanjutnya bulan in IMAX 3D (I'll post my reaction to this footage later today). Cameron of course is a fellow who knows a thing atau two about the format, as well as all kinds of genre filmmaking. So after Cameron and Sanctum's director Alister Grierson spoke with me and a group of other journalists about the film, I made sure to chat with Cameron about his plans for another epic, one that's especially near and dear to our hearts...

Greetings to all the fan of H.P. Lovecraft. I won't take up too much of your time, I wanted to share something with anda that's been on my jantung for a long time now. I used to publikasi a magazine called Dagger of the Mind. While it was fun, it was also a challenge. Long story short, I decided to cease publication for numerous reasons. Before I ceasing publication, I received a Cthulhu Mythos story with a new slant on it. That story, though I didn't publikasi it, left an impression on me which still lingers to this day. Even as a Christian I did't really think that there was a way to incorporate...

Did anda manage to get your hands on a copy of the August issue of Providence Monthly?

It contains a piece on H. P. Lovecraft in "The Last Detail" section on the back page; and it includes one of my H.P.L. headstone foto from my Flickr collections at: link .

I've just confirmed oleh a quick call to the Providence Online office in Providence, that they did give me a foto credit; but I have not received a copy of the issue yet. It's "in the mail."

In early July, I began promoting the idea for an August piece on "120 Years of H.P. Lovecraft and Providence" to a large number of newspapers and magazines,...

I wanted to get these issues from 1976, 77, 78, and 79, with their articles, comments, letters, and foto (including the color versions for the very first time) up on Flickr before I begin posting the Authors/Letters/Photos Collection that will contain material that references Eldritch Leanings, atau that illustrates people mentioned in Eldritch Leanings.

The Number Two Expectation:
There is a very good chance that the August issue of Providence Monthly will contain something of interest to all Lovecraftians. I have been promoting the idea for an August piece on "120 Years of H.P. Lovecraft and Providence;" and I have reason to believe that Providence Monthly is going to do something related to what I have suggested. Get your hands on a copy of the issue, and check out the back page, "The Last Detail" to see what shows up. Watch for a headstone shot that might look familiar to those who've looked through my angsa, swan Point Cemetery photos. The Providence...
