This had to be one of my favorit episodes of Hellcats to date. Despite the fact that there was absolutely NO DAN PATCH whatsoever.
I think what made me cinta this episode most was the humanization of Alice and Jake. Every week they are presented like backstabbing, manipulative jerks, but this episode they really changed. Sure, we've seen glimpses of Alice's heart, but this episode really got me.
When Jake finally agreed to announcing that Travis was innocent, Alice was oleh his side the whole time. Admittedly, this was kind of weird. Usually she acts like she's just using him for social status atau something, but when she sat down to pray with him, my whole view of her changed. Don't get me wrong, I cinta menggerutu, jalang Alice, but this was a nice change of pace for her.
Jake has now become a lebih prominent character in the series. Like I berkata before, he just seemed like Alice's boy toy. Admitting to the public that he committed a crime and an innocent man had taken the fall for him showed that maybe he does have a little dimension as a character. Seeing him in a desperate situation and having to make the right decision changed my view of him, as well.
The weirdest part of this episode was when Travis joined the Hellcats in Cheer Town for a little campfire sing-a-long. Does anyone else find it strange that some ex-con (I don't care if he was wrongfully accused, he still did time in prison for God's sake!) who looked like he hadn't bathed in weeks was sitting in the midst of the Cheer Town cheerleaders?! Seemed a little odd to me. Not saying that he isn't a good person atau anything, but if I were there, I would have made the excuse of going to track down Dan Patch. No way would I have sat around with Travis and his troupe of bernyanyi Barbies. Just saying.
Overall, this was a really good episode. I like that Marti is still as kick-ass as ever and Savannah continues to be her positive little self, even without Dan Patch. I really look meneruskan, ke depan to seeing our Angelic Hair malaikat back selanjutnya week. It's been far too long that we've been without his divine blue eyes. DAN PATCH FOR PRESIDENT!
