I knew he was dead but it was so sad that I didnt want to believe it! I dont think it will be the last that Harry sees of him though, at least I hope not! So exited for the new book to come out!!

I knew he was going to die either in the sixth or seventh. And the mentor thing... right on.

i thought he was dead, but when i was talking to my bf he's convinced me he's coming back! that its all a big plan

so does everyone believe Snape is a bad guy? I definitely have my doubts...

while i was reading the book, people kept telling me he died but i didn't believe them. when i finally finished the book i couldn't believe it.

Can u imagine how bad it would be if dumbledore were a mob boss.... or like a crime lord or something? he would have been unstoppable. He really is the puppet master. I liked him even more after finding out all that stuff about him. He really does rock my socks.

it took a little to sink in but i never believed that it was some sort of trick and he was still alive

i knew he was gone. to be truthful, he was just a person (magical) but a human and died

How CRAP would it have been if he was still alive. I mean, Dumbledores a cool charactor, but bringing him back to life would ruin everything in the series (hence not being able to bring the dead to life)

I was so sad and I cried a lot. I reread that part 4 times before it sunk.

i knew he was dead, but a part of me didn't want to accept it....

Ok, as soon as I read the part where he died, like that paragraph, I just sat there 4 like 5 minutes, trying to take it all in!! Then, my eyes started tearing up, i cried 4 a few seconds, then I just kept reading in shock. I knew there was no possible way for him to "come back from the dead", but I was all like, "Its Dumbledore! He can do ANYTHING!" lol. (p.s. most of my crying was during the movie, not the book, because you could actually SEE it happening)

I was so sad i thought he was facking it but when that spell was lifted and his phenix was gone i cried my eyes out:(

It's not that I WANTED him to come back, I seriously thought he was gonna come back from the dead. But nope..

I cried. Then I cried again at everyones reaction when they found out he had died. Especially Hagrids when he thought Harry had just hit his head really hard I was like no Hagrid he's really dead lol I especially cried at his funeral and I HATED the fact Umbridge attended!! I wish the Centaurs dragged her back in the forest. Loved their tribute by the way and the merpeople :D

I was simply shoooooockkked when I read it in the book. I just hoped it to be a dream or something. I really didn't want to believe it at aaall.

When I saw the movie with my dad, he wouldn't shut up about his theory that Dumbledore wasn't really dead, though.

It's Dumbledore....I didn't know he actually COULD die....for real..

Dumbledor is dead Harry saw him in the Deathly Hallows. It's in the name... Death.
Sadly he is still dead and did not come back to life.

I saw a spoiler on HPANA the day before the book came out, but I was still shocked. It took awhile for me to accept it, even though I knew it to be true. DD wouldn't pretend to die...

It was so sad. Especially when I was reading the book I always imagine Ricard Harris as Dumbledore so it was doublely sad for me.

Let's not get carried away now..... I was very sad that he died I almost cried. But he's no Harry Potter.

NO!!!!!!! I was totally stunned! It was strange, because the first HP book I read was the 7th one. So when I realized Dumbledore had died, it was like..."What! Terrible! Things are out of control now!"
So when it came, When I saw the sixth film I already knew that Dumbledore was gonna die so I was in calm. Although when the scene came,I remember my heart stopped beating! Even a couple of tears rolled down! I would have believed he was going to come back somehow but I knew he won't! But no! Then I breathe deep and started to accept the things:)

But I was scared because of Snape. When he would be a Death Eater again, he would have to die on the end... But he died even through he was on the good side... :(

When Dumbledore died it was the only time when I started second guessing how the series would end. For the first time I thought "if Rowling is capable of this, maybe she'll kill off Harry". I would enjoy reading Jo's take on an alternate ending where Voldemort wins.

at first i just read really fast and kinda skimmed through waiting for it to be like, "haha gotcha! he isnt really dead. i bet you were scared. lol :p" but then i realized it was really happening and i was very shocked.

Harry saw him die and it has a funeral, so he was really dead. :/

I knew he was dead, but I thought they would talk to each other trough the painting a lot. (Harry and Dumbledore, I mean)
