Does anyone else think Harry would have been better off with Luna?

There are many reasons why I'm always torn when I'm asked this question. Yes, personally I do believe Luna and Harry belong together. In what I like to think is Harry's most gruesome tahun at Hogwarts for him mentally is tahun 5, when he first met Luna. She was the only one he could really talk to, because they both had that kind of "outsider" status, and their friendship was unique. But at the same time, they seem so good as friends that sometimes I don't think they are great together. I do cinta Ginny and Harry together, probably lebih than I ever loved Harry and Luna together. Harry and Luna have always been my favorit non-canon couple, though. I just don't know in the end, Harry and Luna? atau Harry and Ginny? It's always this constant fight in my head Ginny VS Luna, and it never ends in triumph for either of them...

I always thought tha Harry and Luna have to be together. Honestly, I saw book 5 as a hint that they will be a couple in book 6 and I was very disappointed when he was randomly paired with Ginny, who suddenly became a bitchy Mary Sue. That's just insane and immature that Ginny was his fangirl since 10 and then in the end she and Harry got married. It makes no sense and is the most unrealistic thing ever. Ginny had to pindah on from Harry, which would be much lebih logical. And Harry would have been happy with Luna. Not only Luna is an amazing, caring person who never judges people, but always tells truths (and imo Harry desperately needs someone like her around him, since he usually has people that are afraid to tell him the truth atau people that expect from him too much and judge him oleh what they read in newspapers), but she also is someone who can understand Harry without words and make him feel better when even his best friends can't. After Sirius' death who was the only person who managed to make Harry feel a little better? Luna. She was the only one he could talk to about it. Who has an unique bound with Harry? Luna. They always shared a bound that Harry shared with no one else, but her. Who was the one to recognize Harry "just oleh that his expression" when he didn't even look like himself? Luna. Who was the one who "said it all for him" on Dobby's funeral? Luna. And finally, in the very end, who was the last person not from the Trio Harry talked to, a person who, again, understood him without him telling any word? Luna. On many, many levels they where perfect for each other.

I always thought Harry should be with Luna. She's so dynamically different from the other characters, and a great counterbalance to Harry. While all the other characters are similar in their seriousness and personality, she's the one Harry is totally different with . He feels calm and understood with her. He feels the same around Ginny as he does with Ron and Hermoine. I just feel like she is such a better match, though she's still not perfect.

I wholeheartedly agree with you! They seem like they would be so good together. I personally don't get why Harry was paired with Ginny.

While i was membaca the book series i thought Harry should be a loner,but as soon as Luna appeared i was convinced she was going to end up with Harry.They were so perfect for each other that it was riduculous that Harry even thought about dating Ginny.Even if she wasn't a boring,crazy fangirl and didn't turn into a menggerutu, jalang after book 4 she's still Rons' little sister!

The HP series was written as a ring composition. In order for Harry to have started crushing on her in book 6 and end up with her in book 7, Luna would have had to have been noticed oleh him in book 1 and have a crush on him in book 2. The fact that she didn't even tampil up as a character until book 5 and Harry's first impression of her was "The girl beside the window looked up. She had straggly, waist-length, dirty-blonde hair, very pale eyebrows, and protuberant eyes that gave her a permamently surprised look. Harry knew at once why Neville had chosen to pass this compartment by. The girl gave off an aura of distinct dottiness" (OOTP, pg 185) rules her out as any kind of romantic interest for him.

I don't thing that things about ginny (well,she is in fact arrogant,but not a slut)

I agree with anda that it would had been better he end up with Luna , they had lebih chemestry in one book than ginny and harry in all the seven

1. Ginny isn't a slut. She's had three boyfriends throughout the series - the same amount as Hermione, and one lebih than most of the other characters her age.
2. Ginny isn't the only normal character, and Harry didn't choose her because he wanted a normal life. He fell in cinta with her. It's that simple.
3/. I wouldn't particularly say that Luna understands Harry better than anyone else. She simply could understand how he was feeling when he'd lost Sirius because she'd been bereaved too (and oleh the end of the story that is, unfortunately, something a lot of the characters now have in common).

anda need lebih tha someone who is just comforting in order to have a good relationship. Ginny had fun with Harry, got his humor, made hum come out of his shell numorous times in oop, and..... and I'll say it again comforted him when Dumbedore died. Why does no one remember that Ginny had lebih power than Hagrid to pull harry from Dumbledore's body
