How do Muggleborns explain their term-time absence to others?

How do Muggleborns explain their absence at halaman awal during term time to primary school friends, neighbours, extended family and family friends? Their parents and siblings can know about magic and Hogwarts, but others couldn't. I know some could claim they're away at a normal boarding school, but that wouldn't work if the family couldn't afford one atau have been too obvious in their dislike of such establishments? What would be the cover story then?

If they had the money, they could say they went to boarding school and if they didn't, they could say they won a scholarship to a boarding school.

I suppose in those cases they would say that they got a scholarship (if they were too poor this could be their cover story) atau if they didnt like these establishments they could say that they moved in with another relative.
