Lady Lilith, I think it's because we want to discuss why we like 'our' series. And because we want a challenge... I don't see anything wrong in that. There's comparisons everywhere but I agree, there shouldn't be fighting.

I cinta doing that, I very much enjoy discussing what I cinta in detail, and arguing with people. But in civil ways. That's the thing, we have gotten so nasty and ridiculous that it'
(sorry, accidentally hit enter XD) it's not even intelligent discussion, really. All it does is piss people off and hurt their feelings, and I oppose that. Also, I just think that Harry Potter and Twilight are WAY too different to be compared to each other. The only main theme they share is that they're very populer series'. And anda can't really have discussions over that. I'm not trying to offend atau be mean, that's just why I'm against this.
The two are massively popular, with millions of fans. They're both known oleh many people. Just go up to someone and talk to them about either one and they'll say, "Oh yeah I know that."
People compare the two because, again, they are both populer to the crowd.
To me, there are very few points that anda can argue about the two. Fiction, mythology, can't think of anything else which proves my point that the two have very few things in common.
P.S. Please use correct grammar, it's best to do that to have people take anda lebih seriously. Plus it's a very short pertanyaan it should not be hard to revise it and correct it. Unless anda a foreigner that is new to the English language.

no offence, but please dont say foreigner. it make my mum a foreigner and me and my brother half foreign.
Why can't they say foreigner? It's a perfectly respectable word. anda can't be half-foreign. A foreigner is someone who has come from another contanant, in my opinion. I don't think it's offensive at all. The thing that's wrong with the pertanyaan is that it isn't written in the correct grammaer, okay?
How is foreigner offensive? I guess I could say I'm half-foreign, if anda think about it that way, because my dad was born in Scotland, where his entire family lived.
The same reason we argue about fanfiction ships aka people we think should be together but are not together examples-Draco/Ginny, Draco/Hermione <3, Hermione/Harry, etc. etc. we like the challenge and we like to debat who is better. It gives people a sense of power, like they are going to win if they bring the other team down with insults. My favorit is Twilight sucks. Get it He is a vampire and he sucks blood. haha. THe unfortuanate thing about Twilight though is they have to worry about HArry POtter AND Team Edward and Team Jacob. sigh ow why that started idk because team edward has already won.
People like Harry Potter, and people also like Twilight. Many people are obsessed with one of the series, and think the one they like is better than the other. Plus, it is also fun to argue about it. :)
I honestly think it is just to get the proper Idea of fan preferinces. Sometimes I don't get the point. anda can't compare Twilight to HArryPotter. They are 2 different novels with no bonds atau connections between them. The only bond is that in a harry potter and the Goblet of fire, Cedric Diggory was played oleh Robert Pattinson in which we all know is now Edward Cullen. this spot is made to criticize twilight mainly. It is dominated oleh HP fan who possibly created the spot. And just want to express they're ideas and opinions. I find it undisturbing to express your own opinion(As long as it doesn't go to further and that's when Its geting annoying) Sometimes we tend to protect the 'thing' we like and prefer from all the obstacles.
