It was called A new laporan brings Game of Thrones spoilers galore | Watchers on the dinding | A Game of Thrones Community for Breaking News, Casting, and Commentary
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
It looks like there will be a bit of a delay with
filming this fall-  but not too much of one, so fans shouldn’t sweat it. HBO will be filming season 7 in the regions of Cordoba and Seville, Spain, as previously announced, but the shooting will take place in late November of this year. Filming was
initially planned for November 1st through the 12th, but has been pushed back.
the show is expected to shoot in the medieval Royal Shipyards and also in the Roman ruins of Italica in Santiponce, in the amphitheater. In Cordoba,
will be filming in the Castillo de Almodovar del Rio, a 1300-year-old Muslim castle.
It looks like there may not be any filming inside the Alcázar of Seville after all this year, the beautiful palace that has stood in as Dorne’s Water Gardens for the last two seasons. However that could change, according to
, with new decisions possibly made in the near future.
With filming now happening in late November in this area, that causes an overlap with the scheduled filming in the Cáceres region. So it looks like we might see two units in action simultaneously in Spain, making for a hectic shooting time.
has new information about plans for season 7, so beware of spoilers ahead!
For the past month, we’ve heard rumblings from Spain about a battle in the works for shooting in Malpartida, Spain. Now we have even more details, courtesy of L7R.
Previously, we’d heard that there was a scene involving wagons in the works for filming on the private property of Las Breñas. Now it seems that “battle” may not be the right word for it what is going down there. L7R has learned that what is being planned there could more accurately be called an “ambush.”
They describe a scene involving wagons with goods traveling from a castle (inserted with CGI), attacked by enemy soldiers. While that doesn’t sound overwhelming,
has scheduled 500 extras for filming in Malpartida, a very large number for the show. For comparison,
used that many extras for the entire shooting of the Battle of the Bastards.
There’s another chunk of info concerning the Malpartida shooting: the new report says that we can expect to see
one Lannister in the fray. Previous information learned from the extras casting process tells us that we can expect the involvement of Unsullied soldiers and Dothraki warriors, and so the presence of Tyrion is almost a given at this point. L7R has heard, though this is not confirmed, that the conflict there will involve Tyrion and one of his siblings.
has also heard details about a scene that sounds exciting. The scene planned for shooting in nearby Los Barruecos, around the watery territory there, will involve a major character falling into the water.
There is no guarantee that the fall is part of the fighting, but it does seem possible, considering the terrain there is similar to the area nearby where the action will be shot. Production has been testing locally how they can accomplish it. As for what that scene is- well, there are many possibilities but the most intriguing is the idea that someone may be falling off a dragon while riding it in battle.
That’s quite a lot of new information to dissect! Who is attacking and who is being attacked in this scenario?

Worried about Dany but I don’t think this will be a Rhaneys repetition. Just hope the dragon doesn’t die!!
My guess is that the person falling is not Dany, but someone who may have bitten off more than they can chew…
I bet it’s Tyrion being thrown from the Dragon. It is just his luck to be knocked out for the fight…again!
Oh, ambush doesn’t sound as exciting as battle but still sounds like it will be very dramatic. It’s so hard to tell if it’s Tyrion and his soldiers attacking the Lannister forces or if it’s the other way around. Would the show really depict Tyrion ambushing wagons laden with goods? And if there is another Lannister involved, my guess is it’s Jaime because I don’t see Cersei leaving King’s Landing. The prospect of Tyrion and Jaime meeting again as enemies is kinda sad.
Ooh, how I’ve missed watching Tyrion interact with other Lannisters.
“someone may be falling off a dragon while riding it in battle.” OMG. I can see that happening. Finally a battle involving Dany that’s not a slaughter. I think she’s safe until S8, but I’m sure as hell concerned about the dragons 🙁 Though Drogon should make it to S8… not sure about R&V though…
That castle mentioned sits up on a hillside, above the town and with a little CGI could be turned into Casterly Rock?
Tyrion on the show still claims that he loves Jaime, would he attack him?
Maybe Cersei is going to hide on Casterly Rock, there was a mention of people being carried.
Or Jaime leaves KL and heads to Casterly Rock? Anyway the twins are seperated so far that’s good. If it is Jaime i hope he survives. Tyrion owns his life to him as he said.
My heart was beating so fast, as I was hoping for some major Northern leaks, but beggars can’t be choosers and this sounds pretty interesting.
Let’s hope the “person falling from the dragon” scoop doesn’t end up like the two named characters on Bolton crosses from last season. 😛 Initially, I thought Dany would fall from Drogon, but we know she’s not dying lol. Maybe it’s Euron (he kidnaps a dragon or something)….
Also, is this location serving as Casterly Rock or King’s Landing?
Also, I’d like to see Tyrion vs. Jaime since it would be more angst filled.
Where’s gonna be the big battle Emilia mentioned though? North again? Like 4 in a row? I hope we still have Dany x Cersei.
Tyrion and Jaime meeting in battle – as I had long hoped for.
Someone falling off a dragon? Daenerys and Drogon is injured and kept in the pit during recovery? Someone trying to steal/claim a dragon and the dragon throws him off? Tyrion astride Rhaegal and Rhaegal is injured in battle and drops Tyrion in the water? What is most exciting is that this involves a MAIN character! Woo-hoo!
The ambush sounds exciting – especially if it’s on a scale as large as it sounds. Better from my perspective than a straight battle.
It would be awesome if they dropped in on Cersei on her way to Casterly Rock and ruined her escape plan. It was said before that dragon fire wouldn’t have helped Aegon with the Rock.
He’s already declared war on Jaime by joining Daenerys.
Hmmm… Sounds like Dany’s army are the attackers. What could be in those wagons? Cersei fleeing King’s Landing for Casterly Rock? Food for a besieged city (Tyrion would care about that)? Weapons needed for the war to come? Booty from Oldtown sacked by Euron? Books from the Citadel library that Sam is trying to protect? Pots of wildfire (hazardous to transport – they could do a white-knuckle scene lifted straight out of ‘The Wages of Fear’!)?
Lots of juicy speculation fodder in this tidbit, for sure.
Olenna won’t be supplying the Lannisters anymore, so they will be in serious need of food.
Sean C.: He’s already declared war on Jaime by joining Daenerys.
I think he talked to Dany already three times about how much he trust Jaime. I am 86% sure this is Dany vs Cersei.
If Jaime has left KL , why try to attack him, when Olenna,Sand Snakes and Tyrion want only Cersei dead?
Maggie: I think he talked to Dany already three times about how much he trust Jaime.
Jaime is the chief Lannister commander, and if he’s at this battle, it’s probably in that capacity. As long as he is the Lannister general, he is Daenerys’ enemy, and thus Tyrion’s. Whether Tyrion trusts Jaime is irrelevant (much like whether Tyrion was personally nice to Sansa was irrelevant to them being enemies because they were on opposite sides), as it’s not about personal animus.
If there’s any truth behind it… If it is a “major character” falling from a dragon into the water then it better not be Daenerys. If it is her then the dragon she would fall from would most likely be Drogon. If she’s falling off a dragon that would indicate the dragon probably took a hit that could kill or injure him…
My fun idea: Perhaps it’s not even a battle scene… Maybe Daenerys notices that the two smaller dragons have taken a liking to Tyrion and she’s trying to train him to ride… and he hilariously falls off.
Maybe the dimensions on Tyrion’s harness need more work to accommodate Dragon sizing.
Sean C.: Jaime is the chief Lannister commander, and if he’s at this battle, it’s probably in that capacity. As long as he is the Lannister general, he is Daenerys’ enemy, and thus Tyrion’s.
I agree. After what Cersei did at the end of last season, if Jaime is still commander of
army, then he is everyone else’s enemy by default. If this is true, then this is the big tragedy of Jaime’s life – devoted and in love with someone who’s rotten, till the very end.
Perhaps it’s not even a battle scene… Maybe Daenerys notices that the two smaller dragons have taken a liking to Tyrion and she’s trying to train him to ride… and he hilariously falls off.
Hmmm….. good point. A training exercise should take place above water.

Yes but they don’t talk about battle here, there isn’t any Lannister army, they will attack wagons with goods . It’s not irrelevant since they had to add Jaime in every single scene Tyrion talked with Dany, and Tyrion thinks he owns his life to him…he doesn’t just like him. It probably means something.
Olenna worked with Jaime to free Marg and knows he wasn’t there when Cersei killed her family.
Elaria was there and knows that only Cersei was rooting for Oberyn’s death, she left Jaime leave from Dorne untouched.
If it is not KL and so Cersei, why would those three allies of Dany attack Jaime? If he is moving away from her to the Rock?
Maybe this will be a moment like Jon being crushed and suffocated but for Daenerys instead; where you feel like she might actually die. But of course she won’t… I hope
is starting to turn into “a character falls off a dragon”. So far the falling off a dragon is just speculation. And while I do think it’s possible Dany could fall off Drogon (she looked like she could fall during the Battle of Meereen), it’s also possible this could be a character falling off a ship into the water. Maybe that’s how a Greyjoy gets captured?
Sorry, but there’s no time for training sessions involving Tyrion. There is 7 episodes and then a final 6. IF someone is falling from a dragon (and there is no guarantee that this is what the scene is by the way) it’s because the dragon has either thrown someone who shouldn’t be on them off or the dragon has been injured. Injured seems like a decent enough guess. An injured dragon falling into the sea and either seriously injuring or killing it’s rider is something GRRM has written about before. And we all know he likes to repeat history in his stories. And a scene such as this sounds like a distinct possibility of being something direct from GRRM forthcoming from the books.
A character falling off a ship into the water was my initial thought too but I responded to the dragon talk instead. I was thinking, “that’s when Euron captures Yara.” (My plot scenario when that tidbit came out was Yara being captured and Theon rescuing her later, regaining his Greyjoy confidence.)
I don’t think it’s a ridiculous thought. A rider training session doesn’t have to be some drawn out sequence that takes a bunch of episode time. Some of the plot ideas people have been throwing around lately are way off the final path the series is steaming toward and would be seasons long arcs. Something like having Tyrion attempting to ride a dragon could be as short as thirty seconds at the beginning of a scene… (“I don’t feel quite comfortable up here.” “You’ll be okay, just hold on tight.” zoom – oops – splash.) It would be a bit of levity in an otherwise seemingly drama filled season.
I just suggested the thought/idea though – mainly to sway my thoughts from it being Daenerys and Drogon. It’s probably more likely to be something in battle (IF it is a dragon involved incident).
I thought thats how one of the greyjoys got captured but then they mentioned the dragon so, that points to dany.
Im thinking Euron will bring the dragon horn into play causing danys dragons to lose their shit and causing dany to be thrown from Drogon into the water
Maybe Varys will fall off of a ship, and we’ll finally find out what he meant by his answer to Tyrion’s early threat. 🙂
it’s also possible this could be a character falling off a ship into the water. Maybe that’s how a Greyjoy gets captured?
Could be. Could also be how an already-captured Greyjoy escapes again: thrown overboard during a sea battle.
We haven’t seen any mythic sea creatures as yet; wouldn’t it be cool for a potentially drowning Theon or Yara/Asha to be buoyed up by a selkie? Or maybe just a friendly passing dolphin? A kraken would be too much to ask…
Hopefully there’s at least one dragon dying in the southern fights. I nominate Viserion to be the first one to go down.
I’d be so po’d if they suddenly introduce the Dragonbinder in at this point without any hint or mention of it yet. Even without knowing yet if or how it works in the books I hate that George even included it.
Any word on the Nothern storyline besides a single Godswood scene (boring)?

Ok, long shot: what if the Cersei – Valonqar prophecy ends with her in an ordinary drowning? Knocked off a cliff, maybe even unintentionally, by Jaime or Tyrion, while wearing that “stylish” armor she’s grown so fond of?
Firannion: Could be. Could also be how an already-captured Greyjoy escapes again: thrown overboard during a sea battle.

What about a little, wee kraken? Have some major buildup of suspense….frothing, bubbling water, ominous sounds, people wild eyed in terror….and then a tiny kraken bloops up and swims around the person in glee, splashing around with it’s little tentacles and eventually giving them a piggy back ride to safety?
Imagine how much that would throw off viewers. 😜
THIS! Yet another case of fans here spinning a yarn from one piece of information. Someone is falling into the water, that’s all. It’d be great if it were someone falling off a dragon but we simply do not know that and there’s nothing to support that. But yet this will become “canon” within hours here.
It’s the same as the report of Euron and Cersei becoming allies so folks here have them married, shacked up with 4 kids and a dog and enslaving the 7 kingdoms. Seriously, guys..
But that’s what I’m trying to clarify. The actual spoiler is “a major character falls into water”. In the article, Sue’s just speculating that it could be a character falling off a dragon. I was pointing out that that speculation is starting to morph into the actual spoiler. Obviously, everyone’s entitled to speculate all they want, it’s just that this is how rumors turn into “spoilers”.
I think that already happened. The last ep of season 3 she is lifted into the air as a Mhysa. The whole scene is beautiful, peaceful, and soaring. Jon’s buried alive scene harks back to the Mhysa moment but is the mirror opposite.
Maggie: Yes but they don’t talk about battle here, there isn’t any Lannister army, they will attackwagons with goods.
Which, if they’re Lannister goods, presumably have some strategic value. Or possibly the goal is the capture of Jaime, a high value target.
It’s not irrelevant since they had to add Jaime in every single scene Tyrion talked with Dany, and Tyrion thinks he owns his life to him…he doesn’t just like him.
Olenna worked with Jaime to free Marg and knows he wasn’t there when Cersei killed her family.
Elaria was there and knows that only Cersei was rooting for Oberyn’s death, she left Jaime leave from Dorne untouched.
You seem to have missed that personal animus doesn’t factor into it. If Jaime is on Team Cersei, he is their enemy.
Because the Rock is also part of the Lannister empire that Dany has to take down? Unless Jaime joins Team Dany, he is in opposition to it.
Yes you’re right, those scenes do mirror each other. However the point I was trying to make is that they will probably try to make you fear for Dany’s life the same way they tried to make you fear for Jon’s in BOTB. And this falling into the water scene may be the way they go about it
Has anyone else read about Devin Oliver being cast as Rhaegar. One of his Instagram posts said something along the lines of “I may or may not be in Game of Thrones Season 7.” He clearly looks the part and does even resemble Harry Lloyd as Viserys in some way. And he’s in a band so he can sing… …like Rhaegar.
It’s a false rumor. He was making a joke. That was a still from a video or photoshoot. He’s not part of GoT, I’ve been told.
Quick Google search says “Bizet” was a composer. So it’s probably nothing to do with GOT.
D & D are good at repeating Game of Thrones scenes….
I predict the ambush is a Brotherhood without Banners scene.
Nothing to to with GoT??????? I see, you have never watched “Carmen”. Then take 10 minutes and watch the finale at least:
If Euron even touches a dragon I will riot! They are also on my list of characters not allowed to die. It’s like Arya’s Death List but in reverse haha! Wonder who’s falling though…
My first thought was honestly a Greyjoy falling into the water. A dragon-fall would be cool, and I’ll hope for it, but don’t we know (speculate) about a naval battle? Occam’s Razor would suggest it would be something to do with that.
Although, it’s hard to apply Occam’s razor to a show with dragons, white walkers, Wun Wun, and Tryion’s plot armour.
P.S. I hope Tyrion and Jamie meet. Jamie is so angry at Tyrion, and wouldn’t it be just so GoT for the one person Tyrion trusts in his family to turn on him. I also like the thought upthread that someone had about Jamie never being free of Cersei. We all want him redeemed, and “expect” him to kill Crsei, so imagine if that never happens 😛

Can’t get over the rolled R’s while they’re speaking French!
This is some of my favourite classical. Cogman’s got class.
Occam’s razor tells that falling from a ship it’s not a big deal and we have seen it in this show in spades. If they are figuring how to make it, it’s gotta be a long, spectacular, and extremely dramatic shot and it leaves us only one option.
Can’t wait to see Tyrion interacting again with Cersei and Jaime..this will be fun!
Sean C.: Unless Jaime joins Team Dany, he is in opposition to it.
You think he’ll stick with Cersei after she did the thing for which he earned the name and reputation ‘Kingslayer’? I wonder…

If the production crew are testing whether the fall into the water is possible then it’s probably an actual stunt rather than just part of ordinary filming, which could mean somebody falling from a dragon from a height.
But it’s impossible to predict without further details.
However, to all those suggesting it might involve a Greyjoy falling into the sea during a battle, just look up Los Barruecos and come back and tell us if you think a sea battle is very likely at that location. 😉
