Game of Thrones Emmy plan: Who's on the ballot revealed 

episode might be the season’s best – if the HBO’s Emmy ballot submissions are any indication.

The “Battle of the Bastards” face-off is being pushed heavily in top Emmy categories, according to the ballots posted online Monday. In fact, “Bastards” is the only episode showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss selected to represent the series in the writing category. The episode is also entered, among others, for directing, editing, visual effects, and sound mixing, as well. The ballots reveal not only which episodes are submitted in top categories, but which actors were submitted in the performance categories as well. There are even descriptions – albiet super brief – of the final two episodes of the season, something that HBO is not otherwise releasing this year.

The stakes are high for the HBO drama, which swept last year’s ceremony with a record 12 wins in a single year. Here’s the rundown of what was submitted:

Supporting actor: Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

Supporting actress: Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, Carice van Houten, Maisie Williams

Writing: “Battle of the Bastards” (David Benioff and Dan Weiss). The submission even includes a cryptic description: “Terms of surrender are rejected and accepted.”

Directing: “Battle of the Bastards” (Miguel Sapochnik), “Book of the Stranger” (Dan Sackheim), “Home” (Jeremy Podeswa), No One” (Mark Mylod), “The Door” (Jack Bender).

Costumes: “The Winds of Winter” (which also includes a description – “Cersei faces her trial”).

Outstanding Cinematography: “Home,” “Oathbreaker,” “The Door,” “The Broken Man,” “The Winds of Winter”

Outstanding Production Design: “Blood of My Blood,” “The Broken Man,” “No One”

Hairstyling, Makeup: “The Door,” “Battle of the Bastards” 

The Outstanding Drama series category typically has multiple episodes submitted as well, but they’re not listed on the Emmy site.
