She had come for me...
Today... wasn't a particularly good hari for me. Actually, I had a near-death experience today... actually, a real death experience, so I think it's aman, brankas to say it wasn't good at all.
At school, it was a pretty average Wednesday. Nobody suspected a thing about me being a homunculus, even though I trained my hardening powers a bit once when nobody was looking.
When I got halaman awal from school, I decided to practice and train these powers some more. I mean, they're so cool, come on, how can anda not be excited? My mom told me I should do my homework first, but, of course, being Stubbornness the Obstinate, I refused and went to train my powers first, anyway. I think I'm pretty good for such a newbie... I still have trouble with affecting remote objects, of course, but I'm fairly good at inducing hardening energy into objects I'm touching atau that are in very close proximity. I went out into the field behind my house and practiced my powers on my own body, some trees and grass. Now, let's go to the specific moment that the "fun" started.
I just focused the hardening energy output to my feet and made my effect on the rumput around me with about a 20 inch radius. As I stepped on it, it crunched, as it being hardened as it was was similar to being frozen. I crunched off one of the blades and held it in my hand. I didn't hear atau see anything strange... until while I was keeping my eye on it, studying what I had done to it, I saw a black, pointy thing come out from the right of me, first out of the corner of my eye and then properly, creeping until it stabbed the blade, causing it to break in half.
I gasped. Oh, no... I recognised that thing. That was one of the claws... she was here! I stood in terror, not even dropping my hand atau looking around, petrified, as I realized that Lust the Lascivious was standing right behind me.
This was the hari I told anda I feared yesterday. The other homunculi discovered my existence. And they went after me.
I was as Frozen as the blade of grass. She berkata the first word. "Well, well," she said, "I see it's a fellow homunculus. Pleased to meet you, hmm, Stubbornness, was it?"
I berkata nothing.
"Oh, don't worry," she continued, "You have nothing to fear from me. I'm just a fellow homunculus. I trust anda know who I am, comrade?"
I gulped. "L-l-l-lust...?" I barely forced the words out.
"Mmm, indeed. anda know, anda can turn around." I did as I was instructed. She retracted her claw.
"I'm sure anda are happy I found anda so soon. You're very welcome, I've been very efficient lately. I know you'll be very glad that anda can leave these humans so soon. anda may to gabung us, the homunculi, right now." I then realized that she was toying with me. She knew that the fact I didn't try to contact them, didn't expect her and acted so shocked was because I didn't want to come with them. But as long as I did, there would be no reason for her to make me her enemy.
"Now." She instructed. I came to her and followed her out into the open town, where we were going who knows where. I found no other option. I had to walk with her peacefully.
It was a while that we were just walking to wherever she was leading me. About half an hour. Every menit so far, I was thinking desperately for a way to escape her. But nothing came to me. The fact remained the same: she would not let me go. If I tried to run, she would defeat me as surely as a normal kidnapper with a gun would defeat a normal 13-year-old boy. It was an unspoken kidnapping. I continued to rack my brain.
Oh, no... I can't go with her! I can't gabung the other homunculi! I just can't! But if I tried to fight her atau escape, she would catch me for sure and then she would be angry! What to do? I finally came to a decision. I couldn't go with her. I had to try. Come to think of it, I doubt she would try to kill me just for the one time... a new homunculus is always fairly valuable. I decided I would try as hard as I could to focus my hardening energy into my flattened hand and then try to chop her in half with one, focused karate chop. That would probably take some time to regenerate atau heal in whatever way. I couldn't see it being enough time to escape her, but it was my best chance. I started mentally focusing the energy into my hand as well as I could, and in a way Lust would not notice. After about 5 menit of focusing and another 3 menit of working up the courage to do it, I stopped.
"L-l-l-lust?" I asked. She turned around.
"Yes, Stubbornness?" Her tone was unreadable.
"I-i-i-i have a question..."
"Yeeees? Out with it?"
Now was the moment of truth. I had to do it instantly despite my state of paralysis from fear. "H-h-h-how mad would anda be... if I did this?"
I did it! I did it! I actually made myself work instantly after I berkata it so she had no time to evaluate the question. I unleashed my hardened hand in a horizontal chop and membagi, split her body in two! Then I quickly chopped it in a couple other directions so it would take even longer for her to reform while I still had the energy. I heard her curse "You little bastard!" as I ran away as fast as my feet could carry me.
In a few seconds, I could almost see her reforming in my mind. She was probably getting done already. I ran through the jalan, street and did what any child running away from a kidnapper would do: I screamed at the puncak, atas of my lungs. A stranger caught me. "What's wrong, kid?!" He asked.
I was panting. "HELP! A homunculus is after me!!!"
Sure, why not be honest?
"A homunculus?!" The crowd was shocked. "SOMEBODY CALL A STATE ALCHEMIST!"
Lust's claws then impaled everyone in the entire croud through the heads. Oh, yeah. That's why not be honest.
"So anda don't want to go with me, Stubbornness?" She asked in a tone of mock surprise. "Whyever not? Do I have to kill the crazy out of you?"
It was a known fact that homunculi had many, many lives. So many they could afford to lose them every once in a while. But if she could kill me over and over just like that, it was only a matter of time before I ran out.
She got ready to attack me... when out of nowhere, a scorching wave of api shot out at her from the side and burned her. That got her attention. We both looked right, where it had come from. There, in a jalan, street corner, was none other than Roy Mustang, The Flame Alchemist.
"Mustang." Lust berkata the name with contempt in her voice, suggesting they might have met before.
I couldn't believe it. A State Alchemist came to save me just in the nick of time.
"Lust," he responded. "We knew anda were in this town but we lost your trail and we didn't know where. Once I heard the screams and the call from the people, I got here as soon as I could."
"You miserable fool!" She retorted. "I'm going to kill anda and then this boy!" She shot her claws at him at near lightning speed while he stood there, but just before reaching him, a thick dinding of what seemed like concrete sprang up in front of him. The claws stopped half-way through it. Then it sank back into the ground.
"Well, of course," mustang responded as I looked on, "You didn't think I would really come to fight anda alone, did you?"
Lust and I heard the very hulking footsteps behind her. I looked and recognized the person who must have sprang the wall.
"One State Alchemist may not be able to handle you, we have no problem admitting that," the great man with the bushy, blong mustache and bald head (except for a few strand of hair sticking out in front of the forehead) said, "But we'll see how anda fare against The Strongarm Alchemist, Alex Louis Armstrong, in supplement to The Flame Alchemist!"
Lust shot her claws at him in the same manner, and once again, they were blocked oleh a bunch of large spikes popping up from the ground to knock them off course. She retracted.
"And, of course," Armstrong continued with the introduction, "Who is a heroic figure such as myself without his sidekick, EDWARD ELRIC, THE FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST!" He stepped aside to reveal Edward Elric just as he said, who had been standing behind him.
"Grr..." Edward muttered to him, "I told you, Armstrong, I'm not your sidekick!"
"Edward, please," Armstrong muttered back, "not in front of the lady."
"Oh, I can assure you," Lust replied, "I'm no lady."
A great battle ensued which eventually also got Alphonse Elric involved, and in which I did my best to crawl out of the crossfire. Now that Lust was distracted, I had a better chance to escape her than ever, but stupid me couldn't turn away from the battle.
Was it just me, atau were the State Alchemists winning? Lust fell to the ground... but then, oh, no! She was playing possum! She quickly shot her claws toward Armstrong, and it didn't appear anyone could stop her in time.
Momentarily, I was shocked. Then... what happened? Her claws... stopped. They just stopped! I was surprised to see her turn to me yet again and exclaim, "You damn kid! anda froze my Ultimate Spear!" And then I thought... what? Did I really do that? When I thought about that... wow.
I heard her mutter something about losing and getting out of the fight. She then grunted and they unfroze. They shot at me too fast for me atau anyone to stop them again. They went right through my head.
"NO!" Edward Elric was the first to shout. He was clearly shocked, as he thought Lust had killed me.
"Oh, relax." Lust said. "No harm done." She retracted her claws. Right on cue, I was still standing and my head wound healed in seconds.
Everybody gasped. I heard "But how can he do that? Unless..." mustang figured it out first. "That boy's a homunculus!" Everybody gasped again.
"You mean it was all a setup?!" Edward was mad.
"Wh-what?" I realized I was endangered. "N-no! anda don't understand!"
Naturally, one is not inclined to believe a homunculus when he says he is a "good homunculus." I was able to calm the 4 down enough for them to give me a chance to explain, but not before they killed me at least 3 times and we found Lust got away in all the commotion.
After saying everything and providing all the evidence, it got through to Central Command that there is a new, young homunculus on the humans' side.
And now... great. I'm in the protective custody of the military. They insisted. I really didn't want to leave my home, and I argued and argued on end, but they even out-stubborned me and got me to start my new life in their protective custody today. I barely got to say goodbye for the time being to my mom. Who even knows how long they'll keep me here? They berkata it was temporary, but they conveniently avoided telling me what were the conditions. Were they until they stopped the evil homunculi atau something of the sort?! OMG! At least they let me bring my computer.
And the worst part of it all...
I STILL DIDN'T DO MY HOMEWORK!!!
The State Alchemists came to my rescue!
