Mason Sat in the lobby of the clothing outlet, and waited patiently for charlotte to finish changing clothes. He heard a slight creak, and turned to face her, ow dressed in a bluish-grey tee, with arm bands around her elbow. Her hair was let down, and covering her right eye. Her pants were form fitting, and had extra pockets. Cargo pants for girls, he guessed. Mason went up to the counter, to pay for the new clothes. He pulled out the old bag, and emptied half of its contents onto the counter. The cloudy old man took it into his palm and juggled it around. He pulled out his pocket and stuffed the coins inside. Mason pushed his elbow to the counter around the paper, and began a quiet sequence of pertanyaan and answers.
"So, you'll keep this from the military right?"
The owner nodded vigorously. "Of course i will. Your the only one i can trust nowadays Mason, so I'll keep this from them."
Mason smiled. "Now, what are anda wanting each bulan for keeping the secret?"
The owner smiled again. "1500 Cens each month."
Mason's smile dissapeared from his face. "Fine. But you'd better not sell us out." Mason grabbed a large bag, containing 1500 cens. He tossed it over the counter, and the owner snatched it like a dog with a treat. Mason gestured to Charlotte, and they left the small, seemingly abandoned building. He led her down the street, and into another alleyway. Dawn was coming, and her had to make her as unrecognizable as possible. He told her to put his jubah on, and put her hair into a low ponytail. He knew she already wore it high and tight normally. He pulled out a small case form on of his pockets, and opened it. It contained colored contacts.
"Here. Put those in, and it'll make your eyes look brown."
"Thanks." charlotte said, placing them each carefully into her eyes. "By the way..." she said, handing him the case. "Why're anda helping me? What did i ever do to deserve your help?"
Mason shrugged. "I don't know. It's just in my blood t help people i guess." charlotte smiled. Mason smiled too. "Well, Now it's around six. anda wanna go get something to eat?"
"Sure. I am actually kind of hungry."
Mason smiled at her, and led her down the jalan, street a ways, before finally coming to a bust area, with many people, all in a rush to get to their early morning jobs. He held open the door to a fancy looking restaurant. charlotte went inside, and had her breath taken away. There was a waterfall in the main area. She squealed like a little girl, and began bouncing up and down around the area to see what else she could find. Mason smirked in amusement, and walked up to the counter. charlotte reluctantly followed him, and had a hard time sitting still. Mason ordered a meja for two with the breakfast special, and the lady at the front smirked.
"Looks like Mason Finally got a girlfriend!" She bellowed. Every person behind the counter began to whisper. Mason shook his head.
"She's not my girlfriend..." He trailed off.
The lady up front just laughed harder. "But anda wish sh was, dont'cha!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
Mason grabbed Charlotte's shoulder, and led her away form the noisy woman. "Sorry about that. She knows me well, and it's not really like her to do that..."
charlotte just smiled playfully. "I bet it didn't help when i berkata nothing. So your name is Mason?"
He nodded. "Mason Elric." Charlotte's blood froze, and she went numb.
