Well, considering the fact that we're losing fans on daily basis & how inactive most Fanpoppers are, it doesn't surprise me much. If you take a look at some fan clubs, you would notice there is only a small group of regular contributers. Basically, all the smaller clubs, with less than 1000 fans, are heavily affected with this notorious inactivity of most users. There are even some fan clubs without any activity whatsoever for more than a year now!! So, what does that tell you about the fans in general? Guess people just got tired of contributing to fan clubs, or even too tired of new clubs to join one. Must say I'm rather disappointed how little people care about fan clubs these days. Apart from some major clubs, such as this one, or Random Club, or Music Club, most fan clubs suffer from total indifference from their own fans. Looks like most fans completely forgot all about the fan clubs they once joined in the course of time. Perhaps they just lack some new idea on what to post to some club, or, which is more likely, they expect someone else, some new user, to continue contributing to some fan club instead. Also, most fans these days simply chose to ignore contributing anything to any club, in fact, they ignore the clubs altogether & instead they focus on personal messages, running a personal blog, sending or receiving props, replying only to forums, etc. I try to contribute as much as possible to as many clubs I can, but I cannot contribute to million of fan clubs by myself! Besides, even I prefer some clubs over others & I know I'm not the only one. Guess the older users just got tired of this network over time & the new users are not as active as one would expect on a global social network such as this one. The major problem with Fanpop is the fact it cannot decide what it wants to be when it grows up: a social network, or a video & other content sharing platform. Or both perhaps? If only more people would contribute to more fan clubs, or even if they would actually like the content the other users are posting more often. Fanning stuff is a major problem on this network for years now. Some people just don't care about anything anymore, much like on YT. If you ask me, it's a shame that most people NEVER even take a look at the picture or a video that somebody else has posted, not even in their own personal clubs!! I think that's just odd! I mean, what's the point of having so many different fan clubs & contributing to all those clubs, if nobody cares about anything anymore these days?!? People should be more active & contribute a lot, yet they should also show some personal interest in actually fanning some content already posted by some other users. Agreed?

In some cases it can also be hard to find new content to add, if it's a club for something which has finished for a while, and if you're a fan who's more likely to add things you see elsewhere rather than creating your own. There's less to discuss in this scenario than if there were new episodes/developments to talk about.

The same is true for fandoms which aren't that popular generally. There's less content out there to find and add to Fanpop, and the clubs for these fandoms tend to have less members too so there are less people in the club to contribute.

I know I don't feel like contributing to some clubs when I'm the only one ever doing it.
