How was fanpop in the beginning?

The original site is VERY different from what anda see now. We had link and forum and headlines (rss feeds).

When anda added a link anda could specify if it was a "video" atau an "article" atau an "image" (among other things). But anda couldn't actually upload an image on the site atau watch an embedded video on the site either.

As Dazl says, Soapbox (Articles) was the selanjutnya feature added as well as a specific area devoted to videos. gambar were added next, then picks. Then kuis and now Answers.

We also redesigned the site in the Spring of 2007. So the "old style" fanpop only lasted for about 6-8 months before we pulled the plug and rebooted with a look that is much lebih similar to what anda are now used to (though we've tinkered with that look a lot too).

I think artikel were introduced next, then images, then picks, then quiz, and now Answers!

One of the golden oldies will probably be in to correct me though. I can't remember if gambar atau artikel came first.

There's a lot of differences to describe, and a lot of change over the course of "the beginning" of the site. I wrote an artikel about the history of fanpop over the first two years that I experienced it, from the closed beta onward. That might be of interest to you.
