So sorry, but Republic of Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom. Only Northern Ireland is (and that's not independent.) Try not to mix these up.

Also whoever is still confusing Ireland as a part of the UK, anda are all wrong and it really annoys Irish people because anda say this. Northern Ireland is part of the U.K, while Ireland (the Republic) isn't.

Still, both Seán & I we have even a flat (an appartment) in Dublin, Ireland now. Just in case. Who knows what the future holds for us over here in Belfast & in NI! Perhaps some hari the entire Ireland will be united & the EU full member state. Who can tell? Me? Please don't ask me how I feel! I have absolutely no idea what exactly I am right now: an Englishman, an Irishman, atau both perhaps? I don't know where do I belong anymore tbh, atau where does my loyalty lies: with my queen & country atau with my Irish husband!!
