Eclipse Help me please!!

WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT MEAN?? I have read that over and over and OVER and I have no idea. I'm probably missing something very obvious but could someone explain?

i think it means that since she was with Jake that night it clearly wouldn't be one his best night cause she was with jake and lets face it Edward really doesn't like Jacob.

I think it is like because edward has had WAY better bnight with Bella so obviously jake wasn't getting very much.Edward was pretty much just showing jake that he and bella have done way more stuff than jake and bella.
