There really is only one type of dragon: the standard. All other breeds, such as the Amazonian jungle, are subspecies. The standard dragon is also called the Himalayan mountain dragon. North American breeds are much hardier than their Eurasian counterparts. African breeds have adapted to the harsh climate. In the near future, they will probably become the dominant breed of dragon.
