It's not too complicated... If I recall correctly, you just need an email address to sign up...

I finally made an account, and I followed your link, but I have no clue where to go from there lol.

LOL, it's all good :) Just click on the "You may call me" thread, click "Reply" (to any of the posts - it doesn't matter which) and your name/whatever you want to be called, and post that... then go around to whichever of the threads interests you and join in the conversation as you please!
