anjing Adopting atau buying a dog?

If you have a dog (or plan to get one in the future), did you adopt it from a rescue/shelter, buy it from a pet store/breeder, or get it from some other source (i.e. free from a friend, etc.).

What were your reasons for obtaining the dog in whatever manner you did?

If you have interest in adding a dog to your home, which the decision should not be taken lightly, you should go to a shelter or look at a rescue to adopt. 1,000s of dogs are put to sleep daily because of over population at shelters. Some shelters are gas chambers. These are horrible ways to die. So, when you are ready to commit to giving a dog love and care for the rest of his/her life, go to nearby shelter/rescue and save a life. Spay or neuter your pets too.

SPCA dogs are pretty safe to be adopted, 100%.

To any fella who germ's freak, need no worry to get near to those dogs because SPCA has allocated some amount to clean their dogs so they are totally hygienic and in good shape for adoption. Also, one added advantage, you can save your cost for neutering process because all dogs from SPCA have been neutered.

Yes, gthouse67, it is true that those shelters due to abundance numbers of dogs, sooner or later, some will be put into sleep. It is such a horrible way to die. So please, for anyone who is interested in adding dog to your home, please please, adopt from SPCA/shelter.

For the records, do you know that you can actually teach SPCA dogs driving? Our four legged friends from SPCA are indeed more than meet the eyes! More news on...
