Continuation of part one of my series 1 review.
Father's Day
This episode had it all. It managed to get exactly the right balance between emotion, fear, characterisation, relationships, and the concept of time. The Doctor and Rose's friendship was tested, but they came out of it stronger than ever. The scenes between Rose and her dad were heart-wrenching, and so was the moment when Jackie realised that Rose was 'her' Rose. The end scene where Pete dies in his daughter's arms is utterly tearful.
Ranking: 10/10
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
This two-parter was easily better than the Slitheen story, mainly because the pacing was not an issue here and also the empty child, although less 'alien' than the Slitheen, was much lebih scary. The first part introduced the realistic characters, notably Nancy, living in war-torn London, and the chills had already begun with that sinister line "Are anda my mummy?" The Doctor took the limelight this episode, as he ventured out on his own to find out about the strange happenings and the mystery fallen canister, ending with a truly gripping cliffhanger.
Ranking: 9/10
The detik part was arguably better than the first part, as the fear factor was upped considerably. The way in which the child communicated through strange means was really creepy, and the moment when The Doctor realises they are in the child's room is jantung pounding. The episode's resolution is one of the best endings to date. That "Everybody lives!" moment never fails to make me happy. Some really imaginative story-writing.
Ranking: 9.5/10
Boom Town
Although seen as the series' stand-alone 'filler', and putting aside the rather lack-luster plot, this episode was rather good. It brought back Blon Fel Fotch, aka Margaret Blaine, and it was the detik time since 'Dalek' that we got to feel a connection with the monster in the episode. The parallels between The Doctor, who still can't stand what he thought he did in the Time war, and Margaret, a blood-thirsty creature, were touched upon astoundingly. It is also the first time in which The Doctor and Rose acknowledge 'Bad Wolf', in a scene which was positively pulse-racing.
Ranking: 7.5/10
Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways
The first part of this story begun with the the TARDIS crew being transported onto the Game Station to take part in some deadly TV shows, and we are made to feel disgusted at how the human race has twisted and convulsed thousands of years in the future. Although Jack's time with Trin-e and Zu-zana was humurous and The Doctor's time in the house was entertaining, it was Rose's participation in The Weakest Link which was really exciting. The look on Rose's face when she knows she is about to be killed, and then the look on The Doctor's face as he thinks he has lost his best friend is almost overwhelming. The episode itself doesn't feel very 'epic', but the cliffhanger at the end was unmissable.
Ranking: 8/10
The final episode, on multiple viewings, never gets boring. The fear inflicted oleh the Daleks, led oleh their false god, gives the finale an 'ultimate' feel, and The Doctor's decision to send Rose halaman awal and prepare the delta-wave is heart-breaking. The Bad serigala arc falls nicely into place, as Rose deciphers that it is a message, which in fact she spread through time and space, in classic timey-whimey who-ness. The Doctor's line "I think anda need a Doctor", followed oleh what is probably the best Doctor Who ciuman ever, is an unbeatable scene, and so is the Ninth Doctor's regeneration. It is not the introduction of The Tenth Doctor that makes this regeneration scene my favourite, but the Ninth Doctor's beautifully-written goodbye scene. "You were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do anda know what? So was I."
Ranking: 10/10
The natal Invasion
This episode blended scary themes and christmassy family themes in what came together to create a lovely story to watch. Rose and her family's stuggles to come to turns with the new Doctor, and to try and figure out what to do in the face of invasion, shows us Rose's vulnerable side. Harriet Jones makes a welcome return as Prime Minister, and her bravery and ruthlessness makes her a very strong character, especially when she allows the Sycorax to be destroyed for the sake of the Human race. The Tenth Doctor spends most of his time asleep, but he makes up for it when he awakes, when he becomes a complex man of fun, emotion, comedy and darkness, with a human edge to him. The natal makan malam scene, and the scene where The Doctor and Rose are deciding where to go next, gives us that light-hearted natal spirit we need, and ends the series fittingly, with only anticipation in mind for Series 2.
Ranking: 8.5/10
secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan Series Ranking: 8.5
And that is my completed full review of the fantastic Series 1. The series as a whole was fairly consistent, with a couple of minor hiccups and a couple of stand-out gems, and it builds the foundations for another run of series.
Thankyou for reading. I hope anda enjoyed it thoroughly and I look foward to hearing from you.

"Rest now…..my warrior.
Rest now, hardship is over.
Live. Wake up. Wake up.
And let the cloak, of life – cling to your bones. Cling to your bones.
Wake up, wake up.
Live. Wake up. Wake up.
And let the cloak, of life – cling to your bones. Cling to your bones
Wake up. Wake up!
Live! Wake up! Wake up!
And let the cloak! Of life! Cling to your bones! Cling to your bones!

Wake up! Wake up!"
