I like the humor, but I get a teeny bit sad when I think about how this movie will fare in the next 10-20 years. Will most people even get these references anymore? I suspect not.

This is my biggest issue with the film. I always feel like I'm missing out on so many jokes because I don't understand what they're referencing.

This film is second most popular in my country and the UK after Snow White.

@phalangeregina: Actually The Lion King is the UK's favourite disney film. Aladdin got in 5th place, I think. There was tv programme called The Nation's favourite disney film like two years ago.

Jasmine could have had more screen time. And an "I want" song.

I don't know. This was my favorite Disney movie growing up, but I did start to notice as I got older that Aladdin seemed to lie a lot. I probably wouldn't want to be with someone who lied that much and whose first instinct was to lie to me to make himself seem better. Not a good foundation for a lasting marriage.

@PrincessAyeka12 - I read a survey done in the UK a few months ago ranking which DP films are most watched by the people there. Snow White was the big winner but Aladdin was #2. Then Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty came after. I don't know how non DP films are ranked though because they weren't on the survey.

Do you remember the rankings for fav Disney movie in that program you mentioned?

The movie is already great so I don´t think any changes would be needed.

I was too lazy to add another option, but what I really mean is that I wish the tone of the movie was different, more serious and less cartoony. Also, more agency for Jasmine would be great. I read somewhere that originally she would run away from the palace because she noticed Jafar was hypnotizing her father and that she'd break the hourglass with her crown... how cool that'd been?

Ugh, I really enjoy watching this movie, but thinking about it is frustrating, because it could be so much better.

And the humor, and if it didn't sexualize a teenage girl so much. I'd love if Jasmine had more screentime but it's not a requirement. She's enjoyable with the amount she has.
