because we have mulan in the lineup and she's not a princess or even married to a prince. and Idk if pocahontas counts as a princess just because she's the chief's daughter.

They probably should be, but I don't mind, because that means we get to include Mulan and Pocahontas. Those two characters alone make up at least half the reason I have any interest in Disney Princesses at all.

ideally i would prefer for the character to attain the title in the movie plot. But it's okay otherwise too

Agreed with JungleQueen. Mulan and Pocahontas ( with Ariel) comprise at least most of my interest in Disney Princess.

Obviously Disney doesn't agree with me, and it's fine. But I do find it a bit silly that some Disney princesses aren't actually princesses at all, whereas actual princesses from Disney movies don't get to be part of the line up.

I feel like they should have some sort of upstanding position like daughter of a chief / married into / born a princess, but I don't think they need a prince at all. I'm fine with all the non-princesses in the line up as is though.
