I'm a little disappointed in Belle's dress because it seems too simple. I never expected it to look like the animated dress because it would look ridiculous in real life. But I expected something more from it. But I also didn't think too much of Cinderella's live-action dress until I saw it in motion (especially when I saw the movie), so I might change my mind. It's still pretty, I'm just disappointed. Beast looks absolutely PHENOMENAL! I've been wanting to see what the Beast would look like FOREVER! Emma Watson looks gorgeous as always and I love her in Belle's peasant outfit. This movie is WAAAAAAY TOO FAAAAAAAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks nice. Though I think Beast's look is too much realistic for me.

only the library one... i don;t like the beast one. There's something unnatural about it. Emma looks gorgeous in peasant dress but i'm not enjoying this yellow dress at all... maybe it'll look nice in the movie settings. Beast is looking too stiff and emotionless so far...I'd have to see more clips to form a definitive opinion though.
Library looks earthy and very much real.

Although I still see Emma as Hermione :-D

@Starfox: I TOTALLY AGREE with you about how they did the CGI for the beast. He looks like a Halloween suit, basically a mix of Chewbacca with a ram/dog. I adored the animation for the beast in the original cartoon. This??? This is nothing like Disney's cartoon, nor is it like the "beast" I picture in my head.

Belle's dress looks like a summer dress. Nothing special about it. The blue dress is nothing special, either. It was boring to look at in the original 1991 film, and it's still boring to look at, here, in the live format. Apart from Emma Watson's bland looks, her acting chops are really, really bad. She just makes the whole scene drag whenever she's talking.

I thought Maleficent was a good movie, and quirky enough to bring something "new" to the tale of Sleeping Beauty. I adored the Cinderella live action version. I was pleased with how they handled the live action version of The Jungle Book ( which I thought was a hoot). But I am already extremely disappointed in Beauty and The Beast. From the casting choices of the principals (Emma Watson/ Dan Stevens), to the horrible CGI, to the boring wardrobe designs...everything is below what I'd mentally pictured.

Blech, Disney. Blech.

I love how the person who keeps saying "Enjoy what you enjoy and ignore people's negative criticisms" somehow keeps negatively criticizing everything.

Also, wouldn't the blue dress "looking as bland as the original", as you put it, be a positive thing? I guess people will complain whether a certain dress looks like the original or not. If it looks like the original, it's boring. If it's new, it's also boring. Nitpicky, nitpicky, nitpicky.

^Yeah. Well, I praised three live action movies in my comment, and then because I didn't praise this one, you feel "I negatively criticize everything." That's a really catch-all statement. I'm allowed to criticize the Beauty and the Beast live action version, if it doesn't appeal to me. Disney is taking shortcuts. It doesn't appeal to me. And for your information-- I don't criticize everything.

Also, Disney had been doing well with the live action remakes. So I was hoping that they would show me something better with this reboot of the movie-- and it would be an improvement for me over the cartoon ( which I was meh about). Unfortunately, they have done just the opposite. Everything I've seen has underwhelmed me so far.

Why did you single out my comment for your accusation of "being nitpicky" and "having inconsistencies in my personality?" Why didn't you do that to the other users who answered your poll? Other users--- not just me-- also shared the same ideas, about how underwhelmed they were by the stills. You may not like me, fine, but what you did was really quite annoying.

Other users who have commented don't say "keep enjoying what you enjoy and ignore people's harsh criticisms" and then go around and negatively criticize stuff.

@Hatelarxene: As I recall, you were lashing out at the people who answered your poll. They did not give you the answer you wanted. I said what I said--- at that time--- because you were going way overboard with the venom and verbal language you ( and some of the other users) were using. But I should have picked up on it, then....

This is how you handle people saying things you don't like. You tell them that something is wrong "with their personalities" and you claim up and down that you aren't nitpicky, and they are. You make the other person look bad, and yourself look good. Well, you've just shown your true colors to me.
