Essentially the scene with the alligators where it basically goes

Naveen: Tiana lower the vine the alligators are literally about to eat me alive
Tiana: Not until you promise to get me my restaurant

I mean yeah he lied to her but she literally was going to let him DIE until she made him beg her? IDK this scene really irks me.

She can be a little rude if you don't share her idealization of business and ambition (though I think Naveen deserved to hear a little nagging). I know they're supposed to be friends but I'm kind of surprised she doesn't snark on someone like Charlotte for exactly this.

In "When We're Human" she says when she's a human, at least SHE'LL act like one. That sounds a little snotty. What was so bad about Louis' dream?

She has her moments. And I agree with PL on the alligators scene.

princesslullaby and yet you don't mind Kristoff saying he doesn't mind letting Anna die unless he gets his new sled? You even said "that's what I'd say." Double standard much?

Anyway, he got her into the mess and wasn't even going to hold up his end of the bargain. He was basically saying that she was on her own with this mess. So she owed him nothing! He wouldn't have lifted a finger to help, so she didn't have to because she knew he wasn't going to help her. Plus, she was the one doing all of the work while Naveen was goofing off with his ukulele and not doing anything to help.

Tiana: *is working hard paddling* I could use a little help!
Naveen: Oh... I will play a little louder *continues to play ukulele*

Plus he's the one who blames Tiana for the mess because she was dressed like a princess at a COSTUME party. He's the one who was messing around with the shadow man and he begged her to kiss him. I don't consider it her being mean, I consider it her acting how any sensible woman would when being around an egotistical bum like Naveen. Well, at least he's not as bad of a bum as Oscar from Hey Arnold. Why Susie hasn't left that moron I'll never know.

Tiana has her flaws, but she's not a 'mean' character.

I don't care if Naveen was being selfish, you don't let someone die. End of story.

@princesslullaby How do you know that Tiana wouldn't have saved him, even if he didn't agree to give her, her restaurant? It would kind of seem OCD for a Disney Princess to actually be willing to let someone die, not unlike Avatar: The Last Airbender became Disney and Azula joined the franchise lol.

Because she didn't save him instantly. Okay, maybe she was going to save him eventually, but the fact that she was willing to put his life on the line like that still bothers me a lot. It's no excuse. There's nothing you can say that will excuse her out of that act.

I think she would have saved him anyway, but I think she knew he'd agree to her deal which is why she did that (which is of course a bad thing).

But yeah, she's definitely pretty snarky and snobbish sometimes. She seems to kinda look down on people who aren't like her (I think that this is what made so many people see her as a Belle knock-off when her movie had first come out).

I agree with KataraLover and I don't believe she would let Naveen die. And she's rude only when she has a reason to be.

She can be mean at times but I'm glad that she's reformed in the end :)
