SHE COOKS!!!

Not that she hates them or anything, she just doesn't interact with animals in the movie for me to tell.

Flounder, Sebastian and Scuttle do a lot for her when she's human, but we don't see her thank them after she gets her voice back. But of course I'm totally overanalyzing this.

In fact, she nearly gets Flounder eaten by a shark when she drags him into the ship, nearly gets Sebastian eaten by humans when she convinces him to stay on land to help her woo the prince then doesn't bother to keep track of him, and both of them plus Scuttle go through so much trouble to help her woo Eric and she barely shows any gratitude.

Plus, she doesn't seem to have any problem eating crabs and other seafood once on land. "Under the Sea" goes to a great effort to show her how much it sucks to be a sea animal on land, but hey! Ariel isn't in the bowl or on the boss's plate, so what does she care?

Elsa doesn't really have any relationship with animals. And when she finds out that Olaf is alive, and no longer an inanimate object--- her response is not ," You're really cool!" Elsa basically ignores the fact that olaf can talk. Only at the very end, does she make a snow cloud for him so that he doesn't melt. Yeah. Elsa considers living creatures an afterthought.

^ To be fair, Olaf isn't exactly an animal. He is a snowman. She's surprised to find he's alive, and when he says "I think so" she looks at her hands in wonder at being able to create life. However, at that moment she had a lot on her mind as her sister kept trying to get close to her and she wanted to keep her distance so she wouldn't hurt her.

I also wouldn't say "Elsa considers living creatures an afterthought" as keeping living creatures (people at least) safe from her is one of her biggest concerns. If she didn't care about living people, she would have used her powers with abandon, or at least in secret, because she didn't care whether she hurt them or not.

Trust me, I don't think Elsa is QUITE as selfless as people give her credit for, but I think saying she doesn't care about living creatures is going overboard.

Maybe if they had fleshed that aspect out a bit more...The positive side where Elsa had created life--- instead of focusing SO MUCH on how she froze the whole kingdom, then I might have felt more respect for Elsa.

As it was, the audience just got hit over the head that Elsa must protect everybody because her powers are destructive.

Gee. The part where Elsa saw that Olaf was alive proved the entire plot of Frozen WRONG, a full twenty or so minutes before Elsa has the epiphany of "love is the answer," and the movie ends.

As for her not caring about living creatures, she doesn't seem to have cultivated any real relationships with anyone, human or otherwise, thanks to her overwhelming fears.

Well, she just doesn't seem to care much about animals unless they are her horse, her mother or her brothers.

She'll freeze the animal! XD But yeah, consider Olaf is an animal, Elsa is pretty indifferent to him. Whatever in her little brain is all about her power.

I agree with BelleRose, she cooks. Eating meat would be rather unethical in DP universe anyway.
