dclairmont picked Snow White:
I think Pocahontas is seen as the more proactive of the two, but I disagree. Although Pocahontas takes charge at the end of the movie, it takes her the entire movie to realize something that was staring her right in the face. Snow, in my opinion, takes more initiative in her situation and isn't as indecisive, letting her get more done.

Definitely, although I haven't seen Pocahontas in a few months. But Pocahontas mainly just sits around, asking Grandmother Willow to make all her decisions for her until the climax.

I hear what you guys are saying and while most is true, I believe you've misread Pocahontas. Not to be mean. Just what I "see". While she is passive at certain points, her main goal in the entire movie, the thing she is doing, is following her heart. Whether that means meeting John Smith or trying to keep a war from igniting, she still takes charge of the thing she is trying to do most: Follow her heart.

And Snow White was passive in the beginning when the Prince came, and later on when she was first at the cottage. She also may get more done, but the big thing with killing the Queen isn't even her. I'm not trying to bash anyone, honest. I'm just giving my opinion.

^ Oh, I know you aren't bashing me or those two, but actually dclairmont really loves Pocahontas, so I'm sure he sees her pro-activeness as well. And, while I think Snow White was kind of passive with the Old Hag, I don't see her passiveness in the other scenes you mention. And Pocahontas doesn't defeat Radcliffe either, although she did stop the execution, and that's a proactive moment for her.

Hmm- very interesting to contemplate! I think Pocahontas tends to seek guidance more (not that there's anything bad about seeking guidance.) Snow White- she finds herself shelter, she fixes the house up on the hope of making a bargain, bargains with the dwarfs, and MAKES THEM FOLLOW HER RULES IN THEIR OWN HOUSE. You can't really blame her for the fact that she was under an enchanted sleep.
