I thought Pocahontas would make the top 2. Anyway, I actually like songs in TLM better in general but the overall score of BatB is one of the best!

@dimitri_is_hot, I agree with you 100%. I was hoping Pocahontas would make it to the finals, and the overall score in BATB is better, though I like the soundtracks in The Little Mermaid

I can't believe I forgot about the song Gaston, I hate the song. I could have voting for this instead of Pocahontas. I love all the songs but Gaston, The Little Mermaid's only flaw is the chef song.

I truly think that TLM soundtrack/score is better. Not just because I prefer it either, because this is on quality not personal opinion.

I think TLM has the best soundtrack.

Personal I don't like either soundtrack. But this is a group opinion so I can have my fair share disappointments.

TLM has nice songs ("Under the Sea", "Kiss the Girl"), but they just can't compare to "Belle", "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast".

I'm just not a fan on 'Be our guest' and never was, 'The ballroom song' never was, 'Gaston' never was, 'little town' I never liked it much except for the animation; I just find the song funny now, 'Belles reprise' probably my favorite, 'the mob song' I actually like and that song which was cut from the movie was dreadful! 'We'll be human again!'

I prefer the music of Beauty and the Beast.

I love both, but I love more song in TLM than in BaTB.

So hard to decide on this one. I love both movies and both soundtracks, but BatB is just that little bit better IMO

@LatinoLollipops: It is not just about the songs!!!!!!!! You keep mentioning how bad the songs are, but think about the score, too!

The Little Mermaid should totally win!

Easy peasy. BATB has nearly all great songs, The Little Mermaid only has a couple that I would call great. Plus the score in BATB is breathtaking, where TLM's score is great in a few places, but in general it's not as good.

To be honest, I don't really like Beauty and the Beast's soundtrack so much. I think The Little Mermaid deserves to win.

BelleAnastasia I don't mean to be rude but your opinions in regards to BatB and TLM are not less biased than anyone elses. In the end of the day it all comes down to subjective perceptions and personal preferences, however, a constructive analysis and objective examination are still possible at least to some extent. Neither movie has the best soundtrack in my opinion, and BatB title song surpasses TLM title song ("Tale as old as time" vs. "Part of your world") quality wise even though I personaly prefer the TLM one because it speaks to me and hits close to home, yet, I'm capable of acknowledging the actual validity of either song. With that said, TLM musical score overall is significantly more rememberal and effortfully constructed due to the fact that most of songs - such as "Kiss the Girl" - are irreplacible in terms of the establishment and presentation of characters' feelings and struggles seeing as the songs define the emotional conflicts of Eric, Ariel and even Sebastian who desperately tries to help Ariel out. Without the songs we wouldn't get the message of the sequences in TLM whereas in BatB case had the soundtrack been entirely ommited from the movie the ideas and progression of the storyline would have remained exactly the same, being clear and evident to the audience regardless of whether the songs are there or not. BatB sountrack is a beautiful addition to the story whereas the TLM one is the essential part of it.

Mongoose09- I like the 'score' to when Belle goes to the west wing and when she gets chased by wolves if that puts a smile on your face :)
