Definitive Proof That Academy Voters Are Ignorant About animasi 

This is shameful!

^ not to be a hater but this is part or the reason Frozen won. I'm sure that majority of people who voted for Frozen didn't see anything outside Frozen. Like my friends.

^ I question the people who voted for Frozen, how many of them seen non Frozen or American animation. Some people would not look twice at a foreign movie, because it's foreign. Even the people that voted, how many of them seen movies other than Frozen? I know my friends didn't. Frozen won because of it's popularity and because it's Disney. This story is recycled many times by Disney. It's nothing that wasn't used before by Disney.

Just because your friends didn't see the others, doesn't mean the Academy didn't. It's the Academy for Petes sake. Dreamworks has won two best animated features in just 2000-2013. So saying frozen won because it's Disney is weird because Frozen was WDAS's first Oscar in that category. So you would think that Despicable Me 2 should have won, because Dreamworks is the better company. How has this sort been recycled? Besides the "act of true love" is a new story

Most of it was Frozen or didn't vote at all. I'm not saying one studio is better than the other. I'm saying that people should not vote for Disney because it's Disney. They should have respect for other animations and watch them all. Instead of choosing the one that's popular for some reason. It's a Disney movie about a boy and a girl who go on an adventure and gall in lev in the process, and have a cute sidekick. This has been used many times, it's nothing new. Recycled is not the right word, "typical" would be more like it.

Who said they voted for our because it was popular, what if it was because it was the best? People don't vote for the Oscars (regular people) the academy does. How do you know they voted for it because it's Disney? You'd typical Disney plot, as you would say had elements of other Disney films, but the story is new. Boy and girl on an adventure and fall in love? This has been done so many times, by people other then Disney, an entire genre of movies would go extinct. A cute sidekick? Also been done in other movies besides Disney. It's called comedy relief. Almost everything has it. Do you know Sid? From Ice Age? Cute sidekick. Saying that those things are typical Disney is insulting because everyone does it. Cute sidekick? The minions from despicable me.

That's really dumb, I just don't think frozen won because people were to lazy. The people that voted for frozen, except for voter #,6 sounded like they legitimately thought frozen was the best movie.
