It was of a woman, life-sized and exotic looking, dressed in what looked like Ancient Egyptian garb, a heavy headdress sat on her head and carved jewellery adorning her neck and wrists. The whole area was surrounded oleh candles, which gave her alabaster skin something of a startling, snow-white effect. The way the flames flickered on her face, however, gave the impression that she was alive. Tiana shuddered and pressed closer still to Lestat.
