How old is Jim?

According to disney wikia and other sources, his appearance is of a 15-year old though he looks older to me.

I agree with chesire. On disney wiki it says he is 15 and if I remember correctly during the movie surfer coverage, they berkata he was 15 as well. I’ve only seen one other place where it says he is 17, but I don’t think it was a reliable source.

(as deckdarcie) I've never read anything that says how old he is, but watching the movie, I always got the impression that he was about 17. For one thing, most of the movie takes place 12 years after it shows him as a child, which would mean that he was 2 in the begining if he was 15 later. He looked very old for a two tahun old. Not to say that he couldn't be, but I've never met a 2 tahun old that talks atau acts like that. Maybe that's just me. So whether he really is supposed to be 15 atau not, in my mind (and those of my sisters), Jim is 17.

In the original book he's meant to be about 15 so it's assumed he is in the film, especially due to the way he looks and acts x
