Even if Kevin and Jules started the show with a set idea in their heads that it would be SE at the end of the series, they don't have to stick to it. As a matter of interest, when/where did Julie say this?? There's no proper conclusion of Elena's choice in the books, but because LJ Smith clearly favoured a Delena ending, the writers should honour her wishes and give us the ending she never got to write in the books. Even if I don't know very well because a lot of people say that there will be just 4 seasons..whatever :S BTW what she meant, is that they already know how they want to end the show. I mean the very end. Like: "Damon and Elena end up together and he turns human, Stefan dies, Bonnie and Jeremy get married etc etc.." Sure, in the beginning they can, but as soon as fanbases are built they have to go with the biggest one, which is ours. If they don't, they'll lose the majority of fans. When I first read the books and through Shadow Souls, Stefan never regains the spotlight. It's all Delena from then and into forever. That is what I am feeling is happening now, whether the writers like it or not.
