My dream scene would be something like this: Damon gets attacked oleh a gang and falls to the ground. Elena is with him. Help arrives, and they are taken to safety. Later that night, they are oleh themselves, because Stefan has taken a cari party out to the woods to investigate, Elena reveals how worried she was about Damon when she saw him hurt like that. They start up with their famous dialogue, when Damon quips that she shouldn't say stuff like that if she doesn't mean it. They are standing really close, facing each other. A serious look crosses Elena's face. She says she does mean it. She looks up into his eyes...and kisses him.
atau - Damon reverts back to his Season One, blood-sucking vampire ways. (Probably after he finds a way to save Elena from Klaus, and realises he's not needed anymore.) He has a big fight with Stefan and moves out of the Salvatore mansion. In spite of Stefan's attempts to dissuade her, Elena goes to see Damon oleh herself. She doesn't tell Stefan because she knows he won't approve. DE have an intense, very raw scene in which Elena reminds him of all the good things he's done and how she can't let him go and be like this because he's her friend and she cares about him. Damon however, is unmoved, especially about the 'friends' bit. He tells her that he's leaving town and he's not coming back. He leaves tonight. When Elena sees that he's already packed, she realises he's serious, and she might never see him again. She walks to the door, but before she leaves, she turns round to look at him and when she sees how hurt he is, and that he really doesn't want her to go, she stops. She starts walking towards him very slowly, but he doesn't move. The whole time they never take their eyes off each other. When Elena reaches him, she looks at him for a long moment before she kisses him. He kisses her back of course. Fade to black. End credits.
