Well, they did it because of criminals, but those women should be allowed to wear them

Of course those women shouldn't be forced to wear it by their husbands, but I think there are also women who do it (at least partly) because they themselves think they should. I don't think that they have to because it's God's will, but I think that they shouldn't be forced to stop wearing it if THEY think it is God's will because then it goes against their conscience and that can't be right in my opinion.

I strongly disagree with this. I know several Muslims, and most of them are women. And let me assure you that, at least in the majority of countries, these women do so by choice. It's about honor and conservatism - the same reason women in America would choose not to wear short skirts or low-cut tops. My friends only wear the hijab, but they do so of their own volition and respect for their religion (which, just a side note, actually promotes women's rights, regardless of modern-day abuses of the Koran).

I'm not saying women are never forced to wear burkas, niqab, or even hijab, but this tends to happen in the highly restrictive theocracies like Saudi Arabia, where women have little rights in general.

well, it is easy to disguise a ski mask as a veil, but on the other hand, if they take away their right to wear head coverings, they are taking away freedom of religion.

people forget that some christian women veil and this affects them too. When government tells a woman how to dress they're crossing the line.

I learned about that in school! Very unfair!!!! Some people don't know that burqua is the symbol of their religion just like a cross neckless to us! Every person has the right to express their belief! French government sucks!
