Jane was sitting at her meja tulis, meja leaning over a small notebook Julian has diberikan her. He’d told her he couldn’t read what it was saying, but that if they could somehow translate it they would find out interesting information about Cas.
Jane was prepared to do anything to get her story. There had already been some artikel about the miraculous resurrection of Castiel Novak, but none of them were accurate. Jane had a witness, facts recorded on tape and a journal. The people wouldn’t get a better version of the story than hers. She was so focused on her story she didn’t hear the knocking at first.
“Mrs. Simmons, can anda open the door please?”
Jane looked up, surprised. She wasn’t expecting anyone nor did she recognize the voice outside her apartment. She decided to ignore the visitor and went on trying to translate the text.
But the woman outside was determined to be left inside and when Jane could no longer pretend she didn’t hear the incessant knocking she stood and walked to the door. As soon as she had opened it Anna grabbed her throat and forced her back inside.
“Where is it?” she hisses threatening.
Jane tried to swallow, but Anna’s grip was too tight. Anna loosened her grip so Jane could answer. “Where’s what?” Jane asked hoarse.
“The notebook” Anna clarified grim.
“What notebook? I don’t know what you’re talking about” Jane lied.
“You’re not the only one who’s been listening on private conversations” Anna snapped. “I know your brother Julian mencuri a small notebook from Cas and he gave it to you. Now you’re going to give it me, so I can give it back to Cas, because he’s the only one who can translate it”
“I need that book. I need it for my story” Jane complained.
“I don’t give a rat’s pantat, keledai about your story” Anna snarled. “There are lives at stake here. Give me the book”
Jane swallowed again. “It’s over there” she fessed up in defeat. “On the table”
Anna let go of her and walked to the table. She slammed the book shut and picked it up. On her way to the door she stopped oleh Jane.
“Word of advice. The last person who tried to interfere in Cas’ business ended up dead. Forget about him. Find someone else to write a story about”
She walked out of the door. Jane scribbled up from the floor. She walked back to her meja and started feverishly writing.
