I'm not a native English speaker, so it is really difficult for me to understand the actual meaning of the last talk btw Janie and Giles in this episode (about books and computers):

Ms. Calendar: Well! You really are an old-fashioned boy, aren't you?
Giles: Well, I-I don't dangle a corkscrew from my ear.
Ms. Calendar: (mischievously) That's not where I dangle it.

So here is my question: what does it all mean? Well, certainly, they are flirting. But.. Giles words. Does he mean "i know you took out the corkscrew (i guess this is earring) from your ear an left it at the library intentionally"? This is like an old-fashioned stuff... And her last and the most misterious phrase for me... does she confess that she left her earring in the library, so that he could come to her to bring it (and she could see him)???
