My mom wants me to start membaca some good classic books. But I don't know any! Any suggestions?

I've read two of these: Romeo and Juliet and Of Mice and Men; both very good.

I started membaca Pride and Prejudice, but I saw the 2005 movie so many times to be familiar with the story, and it is amazing!

I saw at least one adaptation of each Jane Austen novel, but didn't read the books. They are good stories.

I saw the BBC series of Little Dorrit... Amazing! I didn't read the book, though.

I never read atau saw an adaptation of Jane Eyre; it came to mind because there is a new movie coming out soon.

Its always hard answering these, because if you're not in the mood for a good classic it can be hard to get into.

I loved Anne of green gables oleh lucy maude montgomery, it's an easy one to start with becuase it's heartwarming and funny and the other buku in the series just get better and better!

I think anything oleh Jules Verne is a must read. I cinta '20,000 Legues Under the Sea'.

How old are you? Some of the buku mentioned were required membaca when I was in High School so if you're that age atau younger anda may want to wait(or not) on those titles.

Hunchback of Notre Dame is a favorit of mine. Also Pride and Prejudice, it's a great read.

Is "Our Town" oleh Thornton Wilder a classic? It's really good. I think it might be a classic. . .Anyway, "Anne of Green Gables" is a good one, so is "Romeo and Juliet". But, read Our Town. It's amazing! ^.^

Catcher In The Rye this book is a good read I've read it twice.about a college guy who feeles alienated and out of place from his peers.well written its a good buy.

Of Mice and Men, it's great!

It really depends how mature anda are and what membaca level anda are at. If anda want a simple book go for Peter Pan, Heidi atau What Katy Did. If anda want a lebih mature read try Pride and Prejudice atau To Kill A MockingBird.
And if anda want to take the mickey, read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It's a spoof of Prdie and Prejudice with a modern twist. It still uses Victorian English but the plot line differs slightly (more violence but the parings stay the same!). I read it before I read Pride and Prejudice, because it uses some modern themes with old fashioned ones, which makes understanding Victorian English a little easier. When I read the original Pride and Prejudice I understood it better, because I had been first introduced to a watered down version of the language. Does that make sense?

anda should also give the Russian and French classics a try. I highly recommend anything oleh Dostoevsky, Tolstoy and Hugo.
