Like most Chair shippers, I'm totally rooting for a little Baby bas, bass running all around the Upper East Side. But unfortunately, the Gossip Girl writers have not been very attentive to our Chair shipping needs as of late. Although it's been confirmed that Dorota is NOT our mystery preggo lady, we still don't know who will be sporting a baby bump come September 26th (stylishly, of course). So, we have two options. Pass the 29 days we still have left until the GG season premiere binging on Chair-heavy episodes, atau start making speculations as to who will become a mommy in less than 9 months. I choose both.

So who do I think is pregnant? I have absolutely no idea. But that doesn't mean I haven't picked up on possible hints. First of all, it's pretty much a diberikan that either Blair atau Serena is the one eating for two nowadays. And I wouldn't rule Serena out just yet. Let's start with our queen B, though.

To state the obvious, Blair has a higher chance of being pregnant because she's gotten the most action lately. She presumably slept with Louis, and from watching the scene about 10 times, I can personally testify that she most definitely slept with Chuck. Now, there's the matter of smaller details, which I've either insightfully picked up on atau imagined in an attempt to assure myself that Baby bas, bass will soon be making his/her way into the world. In any case, here they are.

1. It was made VERY obvious that May 6th was the tanggal of Gossip Girl's now-famous Bar Mitzvah, hence the tanggal that Chuck and Blair slept together. Conception date, anyone? I can just imagine a doctor telling Blair her baby was conceived on May 6th, and her having a total That's So Raven type moment. Only a flashback, not some strange psychic vision. And how do we know that May 6th, 2011, is the tanggal in question? Why, the camera oh-so conveniently zoomed in on the check Chuck wrote out to the lucky Bar Mitzvah boy.


2. From the on-set pictures I've viewed once atau twice atau twenty times, it looks to me like Chuck is wearing a lot of blue and pink. Trying to tell us something, Gossip Girl?


3. I've always thought it was a little strange how Evelyn bas, bass has never been resurrected. How Chuck STILL doesn't know that his mother is, in fact, alive. But then I realized something. Maybe the GG writers' intention is to have Chuck believe his mother died while giving birth, so they can use the storyline of Chuck being consumed with worry over a pregnant Blair? I don't really have any facts to back this theory up, but it makes sense in my mind.


4. So, once upon a time, a girl named Leighton Meester played a girl named Blair Waldorf on a tampil called Gossip Girl, and while filming this show, Leighton was caught on tape saying something along the lines of "Actually, I need to find a restroom." Normally, this would be no big deal, but since Blair is suspected of being pregnant, "needing to find a restroom" is a very big deal indeed. Especially since when she berkata this, Louis' sister had just asked her if she wanted a snack. In front of a hot-dog stand. And then Blair ran away. Eeeee! The dialogue I'm talking about starts around the 1:00 mark.

Despite everything I've mentioned, Serena could very well be the pregnant one. Here's why.

1. Looking at the on-set pics, you'll notice that Serena has been wearing a lot of baggy, concealing clothes lately. And in situations like these, the little details matter.


2. Anyone else notice how Serena doesn't participate in Chuck and Nate's "cheers" during the GG season 5 promo? Although she certainly is glowing.....and what exactly are they cheering to? Maybe an unplanned pregnancy? atau maybe I'm just grasping at whatever hints the CW will give us.....but still. Who thinks Ms. Serena's glass is filled with water? atau something stronger she refuses to drink?


3. Blake Lively and Chace Crawford HAVE been filming together a lot lately. Maybe Serena and Nate are trying to work things out before an arrival of a certain baby?


If I had to, I'd guess that Blair and Chuck are the soon-to-be-parents. Of course, I'm lebih than a little biased. But in addition to all the reasons I listed above, I just think that the Gossip Girl writers are going to be majorly redeeming Chair this season. And what better way to get back in our good graces than with the arrival of a Baby Bass?
