Opal Koboi sulked at her monitor. The last three weeks had been dull. No action, no police chases, no nothing. Boring. Dull. Bland. She shook her head in disgust and whined.
"Briar!"
Briar Cudgeon immediately appeared behind her. "Yes, Ms.Koboi?"
"Show me the profits."
"Alright," Briar reluctantly fished in his pocket and pulled out a folded paper. "but you're not going to be happy."
Koboi unfolded the paper so fast she nearly tore it, and gasped after her eyes crossed it.
"This...this is an outrage!" Koboi exclaimed, tossing the paper in the air and bursting out of her chair. "Something must be done about this. Immediately."
"Well, we could just go to LEP and..."
"No. That troublesome Mud Boy always gets in the way..." she stood silent for a second, and her ears pricked up. "Of course! All this time! Why didn't I see it!"
"See what, Miss Koboi?" inquired Cudgeon.
"That Mud Boy is our ticket out of our debt! He's filthy rich! Why didn't I see this before? Why was I so oblivious? Why-"
"But....Miss Koboi...the surveillance cameras...we don't have enough..."
"Yes, yes, I know. There's not enough sheilds for the two of us." An atrocious smile crossed her face. "We just need some help...."
****************
Alois gazed out his window into the starry sky, his mind wandering into it. No activity from the Phantomhives in weeks. This was unusual. Maybe they're planning something.... He immediately hunted down the thought and stomped it dead. The Phantomhives were awfully busy at this period in time, so it would make logical sense that they hadn't piped up recently.
"Your Highness...it's about time anda nodded off." Claude's voice echoed behind him, pulling Alois back to reality.
"A few lebih minutes." Alois responded.
Claude walked up behind his master and took a glance at the stars for himself. "Quite a lovely night isn't it?"
"Yes, but...what's that?"
"What?"
"That." Alois pointed to a bright green light in the distance, which was circling in an odd pattern among the stars.
"Hmmmm, thats odd. Never seen anything like it before." Claude squinted into the distance. "But whatever it is, it appears to be getting closer."
And he was right. The light appeared to be getting bigger and bigger, and was without a doubt headed for the Trancy estate.
Claude grabbed his masters' wrist, slowly pulling him away from the window. The light was now close enough that Alois could see the shadow of a human silhouetted against it. atau at least thats how it appeared.
Alois didn't move, his feet stayed glued where they were, no matter how hard Claude tugged on him.
"Alois! Get away from the window, now!"
Alois didn't budge, remaining dumbfounded at whatever this light was...
"ALOIS!"
CRASH!
