Over the last several years we've seen film attempt ORIGINAL comedy. Sometimes it's something bold like "The Ringer", something in response to criticism such as with the South Park film. While Tropic Thunder features versions of both these elements, they attempt something truly remarkable: They make a comedy device...out of Gary Oldman.
